I saw a late model Golf like that, I'm still trying to figure out if he was fixing a wreck or trying to make it look like that VW Callico Rabbit commercial.

There's one that isn't all that far from Harry or myself, maybe 10 minutes from home for me, not sure for Harry though.

The more I see the, the more I like them.....and I've seen a few of them out in St. Charles and Geneva! Talked to a customer a few weeks back that has one with the big battery in it and he told me that they took it on a road trip to Detroit and made it all the way from here to Ann Arbor, MI on one charge! If I had the money, I would love to have one as a daily driver!

That wouldn't be too bad once you ripped out that $5,000 stereo, sold it, replaced it with something more reasonable, then used the money from the stereo for more off road parts to put on the truck.

Haven't heard of "swoopy" being used to describe "smooth". Although that Porsche I wouldn't refer to as "swoopy" so much s I would "bar of soap". Now the style that James Dean was killed in would be a different story

Now that you mention it, that is almost the Concrete Barricade Beige Metallic Toyota Camry of Hot Rods. Nothing truely offensive, yet nothing to make you want to stop and look either............just safe and almost boring. Never thought I would refer to a '32 Ford as boring?!

Every time I watched the show, they were filming at the same tracks that Pinks All Out was filmed at and around the same time.....Plus Ken Herring was a part of both shows, it would make sense that they shot both at the same time.

I think that went away with Pinks All Out, looked like the two shows were tied together.

This!!!!!!!! If you're going to be blowing that kind of green, why not go for an GM LS Motor, Ford Mod Motor, or late model Chrysler Hemi with matching trans too?

I'm still thinking about taking an early 2.2 Turbo 1 from one of the AMT Daytona kits and putting it in one of the AMT Model T kits. Got both kits from the bad old days (RC2) and a resin Track-T nose just for fun......just got to do it now.

There's too many "Me Too" type cars out there, and the Small Block Chevy can be had cheap as an 80's and 90's smog motor (nothing "hot" about those). When dad was plying with cars before I was born, most of them had brand correct engines (Mopars powered by Chrysler motors, Nailhead powered Riv, '55 Chevy dirt oval car with a high revving small blocks, ect) Dad's first car was a '50 Plymouth that he kept the Flathead 6 in, but had it to the point it would run with the then new and hot '57 Fords with the Supercharged 312 in it for a quarter mile.....and not always an inch further....he kept main bearings on hand just in case. He's thought finding another one of those to put a Pentastar V-6 and suspension from the Challenger in, with that new 8 speed auto behind it would be a whole lot of fun of late too.
