  1. EGADS, that thing is so bad looking I couldn't even type right
  2. Um, did somebody from Palmer think they could design real cars too?
  3. Wow, that wagon is down right frightening to look at, I hope it's a trailer queen Somehow I get the feeling it needs to be on the Scary Steering website
  4. No kidding Harry, my Chrysler is running E85 right now (the spread is enough to be cheaper vs pump regular let alone premium) and the Jeep has been parked since the flood waters mostly went away. I was on an E85 users forum in the last hour and Minnesota has just jumped in price to about where we are right now. I think Dan (He's the owner of that site) said it went from $3.95 to $4.19 for regular almost overnight, supposedly due to a couple refineries closing down for "maintenance" at the same time in Michigan For reference, I paid $3.29 for E85 from Woodman's today and around the part of Minnesota Dan lives in was around $3.04 a gallon. I was in Iowa over the weekend and E85 was a match for Minnesota while gas was $3.59 for their version of regular (89 octane with 10% ethanol) and $3.79 for their Premium (91 octane).
  5. Could be a special "Used Cars" issue.
  6. Was that the comment from the Yahoo article on John Lennon's Ferrari going up for auction?
  7. Let me guess, it's a Palmer designed kit.
  8. You should see some of the new Hot Wheels HollyWood cars. The Milner Coupe is a modern looking 3 Window with a blower and no fenders at all, the Beverly Hills Cop Nova is a '68 Nova, the Rockford Files Firebird is a T-Top Trans Am with what appears to be the scale equivalent of 18"-20" front and 20"-22" rear Torque Thrusts, and for Ferris Bueller's Day off, they modeled his sister's Fiero
  9. Beautiful! I was working though....................but at least it was for extra hours, just sucked looking out the windows and seeing how nice it was the whole day.
  10. It's like a car wreck, we just can't look away!
  11. Wow, you guys have had horrible luck of late, sorry about your loss.
  12. At least you're getting back into it already and good luck with the insurance company!
  13. The kid did pretty darn good! He's better than a lot of the adults around here are
  14. LOL, Dad was mostly in Maintenance of Way in most of his years in the industry, and that's about right..........Come to think of it, I think we still have that sign around here somewhere too
  15. I always kinda liked the rooflines on the '88 and newer Cavaliers, kinda reminded me of the '59-'62 "Bubbletop" roofs.
  16. I wonder if they lowered that beast or if all the bondo just weighed it down to that altitude
  17. I knew somebody that had an all white LX 5.0 like the one shown, very nice car!
  18. Dad is retired, he worked for the C&NW and the EJ&E, the retirement is very nice!
  19. I was born in Ames, but have spent most of my life in suburban Chicago.
  20. Ditto! Something else too, if there is a kit, will it be based off a real car, a "correct" kit car, or will we get another Miami Vice Ferrari...................
  21. Oh.................You meant THAT kind of Bad
  22. dang it, now I want to build a ratty looking Barbie Jeep
  23. Not sure on the more southern highways George, last I heard most area roads were back in business by the time I got home from work Friday night. Stopped by the Fox River between Batavia and Geneva to take some pics, while heading out to North Aurora to fill the 200 with E-85. And the water looks to have gone down in the last couple days too These are the rest of the pics are of how it is today and when I stopped by last July in the middle of the drought, stark difference! http://smg.photobucket.com/user/bjoehandley/media/Random%20Photographs/Park%20on%20Rte%2025%20in%20Batavia/IMG_5128_zpsd5c6c0d9.jpg.html?sort=2&o=7
  24. The Fox River is pretty deep here now too, planning on getting some pics from a favorite crawling spot to show the difference from last summer to now.
