  1. Cool, thanks!
  2. I just asked Dad, he wasn't familiar with them, but remembers seeing some variation of that design on old farm equipment growing up, probably old enough to be right for the ad in my last post.
  3. Couldn't find much on those springs Harry, they seem to be lost to time. Might as Dad, see what he knows about them Here's all I could find http://books.google.com/books?id=Ow5aAAAAYAAJ&pg=PA180-IA23&lpg=PA180-IA23&dq=Schuler+spring+buckboard&source=bl&ots=gYXHpFCJ5V&sig=2FMFYPPVgqV3jihP0oOK8ofw4rE&hl=en&sa=X&ei=u-GiUe_TD6nOyQGLv4DICg&ved=0CGsQ6AEwBw#v=onepage&q=Schuler%20spring%20buckboard&f=false
  4. Dang it Ira, you have that same song running through my head again https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbugHkuFsTg Can't wait to see this done!!
  5. We got a few of those at work, I was happy to see it's now styrene!
  6. God that was a horrible article.
  7. Looks like there are leaves there and slapper bars would make sense, but those still look sketchy!
  8. Saw that rig in person a couple months back, neat looking little rig.
  9. I've heard that Joe Perry from Aerosmith had been big into Lionel stuff. Comedian Jeff Dunham got so deep into R/C helicopters that he used some of the mechanics from those for his puppets. I think it was either Frank Beard or Dusty Hill that also got into R/C air craft some time back. I personally have talked slot cars and R/C with Brice Cooper, formerly of HGTV.
  10. Where did you find the I-6?
  11. Haven't heard this yet, we just got in a Polly S train paint rack at work a few months ago.
  12. I thought that was impressive just 10 years ago, but it just hit me, wonder how that would sound on a modern surround sound type system and if that effect could be carried over from how it worked in the headphones.
  13. Cool, I wondered what that thing had under it for a chassis.
  14. EGADS, that thing is so bad looking I couldn't even type right
  15. Um, did somebody from Palmer think they could design real cars too?
  16. Wow, that wagon is down right frightening to look at, I hope it's a trailer queen Somehow I get the feeling it needs to be on the Scary Steering website
  17. No kidding Harry, my Chrysler is running E85 right now (the spread is enough to be cheaper vs pump regular let alone premium) and the Jeep has been parked since the flood waters mostly went away. I was on an E85 users forum in the last hour and Minnesota has just jumped in price to about where we are right now. I think Dan (He's the owner of that site) said it went from $3.95 to $4.19 for regular almost overnight, supposedly due to a couple refineries closing down for "maintenance" at the same time in Michigan For reference, I paid $3.29 for E85 from Woodman's today and around the part of Minnesota Dan lives in was around $3.04 a gallon. I was in Iowa over the weekend and E85 was a match for Minnesota while gas was $3.59 for their version of regular (89 octane with 10% ethanol) and $3.79 for their Premium (91 octane).
  18. Could be a special "Used Cars" issue.
  19. Was that the comment from the Yahoo article on John Lennon's Ferrari going up for auction?
  20. Let me guess, it's a Palmer designed kit.
  21. You should see some of the new Hot Wheels HollyWood cars. The Milner Coupe is a modern looking 3 Window with a blower and no fenders at all, the Beverly Hills Cop Nova is a '68 Nova, the Rockford Files Firebird is a T-Top Trans Am with what appears to be the scale equivalent of 18"-20" front and 20"-22" rear Torque Thrusts, and for Ferris Bueller's Day off, they modeled his sister's Fiero
  22. Beautiful! I was working though....................but at least it was for extra hours, just sucked looking out the windows and seeing how nice it was the whole day.
