  1. I work retail, I'm always in parking lots....you should see my poor Cherokee, most of the body damage to it is from people opening their doors into it I forgot to mention, I received a set of Weathertech floor mats for the car as a birthday present last month and finally got to install them right before vacation. When Dad bought them, the guy at their factory store made sure to tell him that we needed to remove the existing floormats before installing theirs............apparently they have had customer's that aren't quite bright enough to figure that out on their own then call to complain that these mats don't fit in their cars Here's my factory mats And here they are installed And speaking of vacation, shot a pic of it while we were on vacation, here it is with my folks Town and Country at our hotel After looking at the two side by side a few times at the hotel, I'm beginning to think that the person/people that worked to restyle the Sebring to the 200 also must have been the ones that styled the '01-'06 Minivans. I see a bit of a family resemblance between the two.
  2. Luckily, now that I have my 200 as a DD, I've used one tank of gas in the Jeep since Easter But yea, it ended up being just short of $60 (I could have bought both Foose kits and a lunch for that ), and I even went to theeee cheapest station in the area and splash blended 3 gallons of E-85 to see how well that generation of OBD2 system puts up with it (and for 30 miles so far, quite nicely!) Currently around home and work gas prices are down to $3.59-$3.75 a gallon for 87, this station had 87 for $3.39, 93 for $3.79 and E-85 for $3.09.......I haven't looked closer to home to see who was selling 93 for what..........doubt I actually want to know If it's set up like their Mid-60's B-Bodies, I imagine it can't be that tough to do, does it look like it would be hard to move the wheels and tires slightly inboard to "tuck" them while lowering the car a bit more?
  3. Actually David, you have me wishing I could swing the green for that and the Cornet now! Unfortunetly, gas for my Cherokee and 200 plus car payment on the latter come first.
  4. It's a rat rod to me........but built how a road going machine should be built, not a rolling tetnus trap that might crumble when it hits a Chicago pot hole.
  5. I had thought that if they were to make a mid motored coupe with the Volt's drivetrain mounted in the back could be pretty neat......problem is that it could be seen as the return of the Fiero or Corvair and I honestly don't know if that would help or hurt GM..........
  6. I'd love to have either of thosr cutters for RC bodies, but they are just too pricey.
  7. Modern racing monster trucks don't sled pull any more, haven't really since they started becoming monster trophy trucks instead of monster pick ups.
  8. They already work like that if needed, minus the diesel part, they aren't even flex fuel compatable
  9. After watching therr commercials, I will only by from local parts houses and the dealers.
  10. Considering the brutal low end torque you can get out of a good electric motor combined with the right batteries, it should accelerate violently and have no problem pulling stuff!
  11. Don't see why not, it's available on all hybrids and factory electric cars, Illinois even offers tax credits for the first year or so if you are using E-85 for a certain length of time.
  12. Too expensive, definately! Ugly, no way! I actually like how it looks, it's just to bad it doesn't seem to be catching on. Number of miles on a charge isn't that bad. If we were still in our old location, I could drive to and from work on one charge, even at our current location, I still probably could with some effort. I am surprised you haven't seen any, I have seen around 6 around here including a dark blue one in the parking lot of the Costco on Army Trail yesterday!
  13. It might, Lexus has made quite a few hybrids based off the Prius tech, and I don't think it's near as good as what GM puts in the Volt. GM really needs to start making this stuff available in all of it's front drive models if they want it to go somewhere. Sadly, after seeing an article in which their Ethanol projects guy seemed disinterested at best, I fear the Volt may get a similar treatment Ethanol seems to be getting over there.
  14. Well, remembering how Yugo and Hyundai started out,.things could go either way. Tata already has Jag and Rover here in the States, so it is possible they could become the new Hyundai if they play their cards right. Now if I remember right though, I don't think the quality of the Nano is quite as good as that of the Yugo's were back in the day.............
  15. Yea, all of the Testors paints (that I know of anyway), most if not all of Pro-Line Racing's RC products, lots of Dubro bits and pieces, and those American flags and American Flag note pads we had in the store are American made...........and the latter two shock the snot outta me
  16. I'd be afraid it would rip the car apart when they blew
  17. Just thought I might do a quick update, the car now has 8300 miles on it and just had it down to Branson, MO for a week when My Sister, Parent's, and myself took a 2 car trip down last Sunday and came home yesterday. Put around 1200 miles on it in that trip alone and drove it through what I'm surprised wasn't a twister in central Illinois! The best calculated mileage was 29.88mpg running 91 octane and best computer estimated was 34mpg on 87, which ended up being 28.28mpg by the time I filled it up..........considering we were punching through 30+ mph cross winds at 60-70mph and drove it around here for quite a bit before I got it to a station to fill it up, I'm not complaining considering that the EPA claims it will only get 29mpg on the highway under their test conditions! I also shot a video of it on HWY 76 running from West Branson to Branson, Believe it or not, I rarely exceeded 5mph over the limit and at times I was passing people while running below the posted limit!
  18. It may not be totally quiet, as somebody on RCCrawler pointed out, now we can hear the driver screaming OH ####!!!!!! as well as leaving skid marks in his underwear, driver's suit, and driver's seat as this 10,000lbs truck goes flying through the air
  19. It'll probably be more of a "proof of concept" type vehicle like the LeMans hybrid racer cars.
  20. I'm more concerned on how it will crash with a sturdier and/or heavier vehicle.
  21. Sweet, that has to be one of my all time favorite TV cars!
  22. If it produces torque like most electric motors do, it should be able to do standing start wheelies easily!
  23. I knew that motor looked vaguely familiar and unusually huge!
  24. It's going to be ELECTRIC http://www.bigfoot4x4.com/2012/1015_odyssey.html And if anybody can pull this off in the Monster Truck world......I believe Bob Chandler's boys can
  25. Appears to be better than I thought.....but how fast was it going, 10mph?
