  1. Beats me, I have heard of wrecked Chevy Volts catching fire post wreck, but unlike fuel burners, they tend to give the fire and rescue guys a couple days to get people out of the car when they wreck them that bad! Now that I think of it, I wonder how well a compressed air-electric hybrid would do in comparison to a gas-electric or diesel-electric hybrid................
  2. Yup, while the vehicle will be polution free, compressing the air to fill those tanks will require electricity or some form of combustable fuel to operate the compressors. Fire shouldn't be a problem since there is no fuel in the tanks.................now if there is a possibility of an electrical failure and related fire.............0_o
  3. I gotta agree, hAven't seen a winter this mild in atleast a decade, heck, I've got a fleece pullover that has been worn maybe a dozen times since October!
  4. I've talked to a couple guys that have them. One guy has back problems and they're the only shoe he can comfortably wear and the other is a cross athlete who is working on becoming an EMS. The big thing is it use them in the right terrain, the second guy found for all terrain running that they didn't provide the correct support over rocks and such (which I have had kill shoes while just walking over) but worked well for most other surfaces and he'd even lift while wearing them!
  5. Got a couple that I like besides those two.
  6. I'm going with model on a gut feeling, and if I'm wrong, so be it
  7. What did you Do for the wind yesterday? Just had on a long sleeve shirt and danger near froze, and I can put up with quite a bit of cold!
  8. What kind of off roading though? Going to a larger diameter rim when upping tire size should allow for larger brakes (with bigger tires, bigger brakes should be a must), better sidewall stability in off camber situations, more control in case of a blow out, and quite frankly, won't look as stupid as a giant tire around a tiny rim.
  9. The A-Team kits had those ribs, I'm kinda hoping those don't go away in this issue.
  10. . They do, even the A-Team ones, even though GM changed them signifigantly for '78 and later vans.
  11. True, hopefully we'll buy enough to make it worth while!
  12. I wouldn't mind if they did a new 80's Passenger van body for the kit!
  13. sorry, accidentally quoted myself instead of editing my last post
  14. Nope, If bigger wheels mean bigger brakes, I'm all for it...........especially on high horsepower, 5000lb+ cars and SUV's! I wouldn't mind both on my Jeep in all honest, a little bit bigger rim means a little less sidewall to flex during cornering and should allow for better cornering ability on top of the better stopping and heat dissipation the bigger brakes would allow for. I wouldn't go any larger than the 17's like your Mustang has. I've seen XJ's with 20's and they don't look even remotely right, 18's look ok, but that big might be kinda pointless on it.
  15. Well, now that w00t is out of the way, what's leet?
  16. The A-Team van was a modified reissue of the AMT Chevy 125" wheelbase G Series cargo vans, which included the original Vantasy (with custom grill), Candy Van, all of which are based off the original AMT Fire Chief Chevy Van kit.
  17. I'm hoping the only difference will be the box art and decals, but they probably put the rear plate back on the driver side back doors and the body molds did need some repairs around the roof and drip railings.
  18. St. Charles Illinois HobbyTown USA, now on Rte 38 at the corner of 38 and Randall Road
  19. And that kit is the basis for the '98-'02 LS1 Camaro kit too.
  20. That's what it is, I at least used to have one (not sure if I still do) and it was molded in that same ugly shade of yellow.
  21. Wow, that interior blew me away, fantasic work!!!!
  22. Good, we should be getting them at work soon then!
