  1. Yea, great day to be off from work.......guess it's about time to clear the driveway now...........
  2. It's here, oh joy.............
  3. Mine's in at work, just got to wait a couple days to buy it.
  4. Sorry about that, seemed to happen as soon as I logged in too ....................................................
  5. Hopefully I'll have some before the week is out.
  6. There's an interesting suggestions about 4 posts down on this forum thread (it is from a sibling magazine to that other mag though) http://cs.trains.com/trccs/forums/p/102695/1194232.aspx I'm sure there's larger beans or even beads out there to use. Just can't think of anything usable at work right now outside of Woodland Scenics EZ Water pellets, which are more of a yellowed clear material, but can't sayif or how well it will take to being painted.
  7. Can you show a picture of the driver side? If it's got about 1/4"-1/2" between the bottom back corner of the side door and front of the rear wheels opening, it should be made to look like the 125" WB models. It does look a whole lot like the AMT van, but the WB might be shorter and the vent windows are part of the glass instead of the body on the AMT kit, plus the gas door area just doesn't look right to me. Could be like the Palmer '40 Ford that Lindberg now sells, a reasonable (but not too great) copy of the AMT kit.
  8. Sadly, I'll bet most of the ones that these laws were written against are likely close to my age now.
  9. I was wondering that, seems like a good reason to refuse to me.
  10. I keep seeing more and more of that car and hope they have some at the Chicago Auto Show to have a seat in!
  11. Not at all, bottle and spray paint, thinners, model glues and cements, and canned air can all cause a "high" just like drugs and alcohol can. Did you give the cashier any kind of attitude, give somebody an attitude and you will get it back, no matter what they do for a job.
  12. Yea, that stuff an be huffed too, basically cut off the oxygen supply to the brain causing that high effect.
  13. That could have been her attempt to be funny, or the store could have had a card everybody rule. I used to work for a drug store chain called Osco Drug and by Y2K, they had enough problems getting caught selling alcohal and cigs to minors working for the cops that they made the cashiers card everybody, didn't matter if they actually looked to young or were obviously well beyond 18/21 years of age, they would even refuse to sell smokes to somebody buying for their own kid who was of age but didn't have an ID with them to buy their own. Last year or so I had been at TRU, Nintendo releasted a N64 game called "Conker's Bad Fur Day" and that was so bad that that if we did sell a copy to a minor, we lost oyr jobs on the spot!
  14. Yup, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was somebody who'd been putting up with consumer nonsense all day and K-Mart and/or the local government could have some serious punishment in place for those that do. Would you risk your job and/or a nasty ticket by selling to a kid buying paint? This isn't exactly the economy to have either happen in, especially some who probably doesn't make much more that minimum wage.
  15. I've still got an A-Team kit that has't really been started, when mine comes in, I'll take pics of both side by side.
  16. As somebody who's been in retail for nearly two decades, that's easier said than done, especially at this time of year. This was a big box store and he likely delt with people ranging from reasonable and friendly to ones who were all but out for blood in their Christmas shopping, and had been dealing with them for a couple months straight. I worked for a local Toy's "R"Us for 5 years and after that first Christmas, I worked overnights for the last 4 Christmas' I worked there.
  17. Didn't know you couldn't get that in Chicago Ron, I know down in Aurora that if you find a store that actually carries spraypaint, it's locked up and you need an employee to get it for you! IIRC, it's been like that for at least a decade now..............
  18. I'd imagine that your local LHS' tend to know most of their paints were going for modeling purposes. After all, would you pay $5.50-$7.00 a can for the little cans of hobby paint when you can go to a big box store and buy a huge can for no more money and have that much more to get high from?
  19. Depends oh you area, some places have laws limiting the age of who buys spray paints in case they will use it to get high or for graffity purposes, same with some glues, cements, and other solvents.
  20. Which custom front end? The original Vantasy had a forward leaning "grill" as well as the stock grill/bumper piece. Speaking o which, what A-Team van parts remain besides the wing?
  21. I've got one too, but it was built as a clunker being brought back from the brink.
  22. I don't know if you guts will need to join the forum to see these, but apparently there was a slip up and a few pics were available a bit early.......ooooops http://www.dodgetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=348621
  23. Hmmmmm......is there a company that makes 1/25 Sherman tank motors?
  24. Wonder what an all chrome Pacer would look like............................ The more I think of it, probably like this http://media.kickstatic.com/kickapps/images/21864/photos/PHOTO_6729198_21864_18307701_ap.jpg
