  1. You and Me both Mike, I can just hear this thumping from inside that box now
  2. Depends; If it's going to be a custom.....down in back!, maybe lower than the front by a bit. Street machine and/or drag, keep the back end a little higher than the front, just not cartoonie looking though.
  3. I've heard about the plane field, I just rarely make into Cook County, I'm usually bouncing back and forth between DuPage and Kane.
  4. Any info on how the Hybrid system works and if this one is diesel too?
  5. Yea, we've discovered with the RC Rock Crawler stuff that the Cook Co. Park District doesn't have any issues with us playing on the rocks at places like Busse. Here in DuPage of you want to fly or run a boat, you have to buy permits (and you have to be an AMA member to get a plane permit), go to specific places, and don't you dar play with a car there and get caught by the wrong ranger! A friend of mine was threatened with a ticket and confiscation of the crawler (that topped out around 5mph) he was driving at the time. Luckily Kane Co. seems to be like Cook, I haven't even had a cop or ranger do more than wave let along hassle me on playing with my toys in their parks!
  6. While this screen name is obvious, the ones I use most other places is either BJoe or BJoeHandley, and that "B" stems from my first name being William and for the first couple years of my life everybody called me "Billy Joe". For some weird reason before we moved from Iowa to suburban Chicago when I was 3, I decided that I wanted to go by Joe instead of Billy Joe and that was that. As for my current avatar, I had let my beard and hair get too long (I think I was waiting for pay day and/or a day off that the shop I go to was open, those don't line up too often) and I had just a stupid idea at work to pull my hair as far over my face as I could (think I pulled it over my glasses too, can't remember) and took the picture with my old flip phone that I had to get rid of back in September. I may have to try it again with my new smart phone before I get my hair cut again
  7. Ah, I figured it was some sort of diecast. Not at all surprised it's one of his builds though, it slots right in with his typical builds in style, quality, and subject matter.
  8. My god those tires are huge, I think those are close in size to what my E-Revo and Stampede R/C trucks use!
  9. Think I saw the right front tire off the ground a couple times too (same clip, just different portions of the "race")!
  10. In all honesty, the jet drier would still be safer, what if a bunch of track sweepers were out there instead?! You might have a bunch of critically injured if not dead track emplyees instead of a handful of shaken up drivers and a half toasted crew cab dually.
  11. Considering Alfa and Ferrari are now part of Fiat, call it a family resemblance The more I look at that door scoop and the way the vent exits into the fenders, I wonder if it's being used as a source for some additional rear downforce since it sweeps up and over the rear wheels Honestly, I like it's looks better than most modern Ferrari's too.
  12. Model, now what it is why they actually made a model of it is a defferent story.............
  13. Don't know if there was a factory crew cab offered, but I don't know of any extended cabs that weren't more modern custom jobs either. Wouldn't be surprised of there resin ones available in both styles though.
  14. Did the Manta Ray predate the Hot Wheels toy brand?
  15. Futuristic Multi-Duty Vehicle.........so does that mean it's cross between a SUV and a Dust Buster?
  16. Wow, it looked beautiful on my smartphone, now that I'm on a desk top it looks even better!
  17. Maybe one, but wouldn't take special order one to get it like I did the Gremlin and Chevy Vans.
  18. Very neat looking build!
  19. Very nice finished product, can't wait to see that paint in the daylight now too!
  20. I did read reviews, as well as the comments by those who have driven and even bought them stating the reviewers were either full of it or questioning if the reviewer actually drove the car.
  21. Don't know about Harry, but I sure ain't complaining
  22. It's at the county fair grounds on Manchester in Wheaton, Joseph. If you take 88 west to Winfield Rd., turn right and go north to Rt. 38 (Roosevelt Rd, and yes the same that runs into Chicago), then turn right heading back east on 38 until you get to County Farm Rd and turn left (only way you can turn too btw) and head north to Manchester, which will be the next major intersection, turn right onto Manchester had head east a short distance. The fairgrounds will be on the left hand side and the show has usually been in the big brick building.
