  1. I gotta agree with Real
  2. Looks cool, there was a shirt at Road America last weekend that had a car almost identical to that on it!
  3. They might not even last long enough to get deployed if that nozzle get hot enough
  4. Funny you mention this, the airbag light on my Jeep keeps flickering and I lost the cruise control and horn a while back. Apparently on the '97-'01 XJ's and the TJ Wranglers use some sort of clock spring wiring harness in the steering column to control all three and they tend to go bad over time Worst part is that this "clock spring" is buried in the column under the steering wheel, which means that airbag and then the steering wheel have to be removed to get at the part. I could live without that airbag being armed, but I would like to have the cruise and horn back, plus I don't know if it will pass Illinois emissions with that being out of spec Yea, gotta love the sound of that thing when they hammer it
  5. Those make a nice looking build, great work!
  6. X2, wish Round 2 would see fit to reissue all of the old van kits.

    Smart??

That's a neat looking little build Rick.
  8. Lol, Thanks Chuck! Can you imagine the looks if the to were parked next to each other on a contest table, peoples reactions alone could make for some good entertainment
  9. See what I mean
  10. Nice, I did that with one back when they first brought that kit out, it still gets the looks when people see it http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v698/bjoehandley/Plastic%20Models/FWD%20Impalas/Rat%20Patrol/?action=view&current=HPIM2492.jpg http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v698/bjoehandley/Plastic%20Models/FWD%20Impalas/Rat%20Patrol/?action=view&current=HPIM2503.jpg
  11. Either that, or they're trying to tie old cars in with rodents and pests that need exterminating
  12. You know Roger, even for as big as I am, I still fit in those little cars nearly as well as I do my Cherokee What shocked me is that the new Charger R/T's don't have more than an extra inch of "thigh" or shoulder space than those little Fiestas do
  13. I've been seeing more and more of those around the Burbs though Ron, I swear there must be a dozen different body styles for that little car too
  14. Oh no, I'm sure he pays through the nose, even if those weren't his fault, they'll find a away to make him pay
  15. Nah, so long as there are riding mowers, there will still be DUI
  16. I ran across a Mazda RX8 in a similar situation once a few years back....and on a curve my Jeep can take at 60-70mph when it's got good shocks under it
  17. Why is it that this commercial comes to mind as I read this thread http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99zEgBOXAvE
  18. Seems like that money could have been better spent improving infrastructure, driver's training programs, and public transit as well as curing diseases.
  19. Looks like it may have been bought from the road or leasing company that originally owned it then repainted and had the piss beat out of it
  20. I get it at home with my old Dell and at work with slightly newer Gateways, both on AT&T, plus I occasionally have issues with the Google browser on my old Sprint cell phone too.
  21. Is that the one where they ruined a perfectly good restored truck to make some sort of rat rod
  22. Huh, I wonder which rail road used the Chevy High Rail............
  23. IIRC that car was in bad shape when they got it too, and all the mods that were done were mild enough the car should be able to be returned to stock pretty easily as well!
  24. Thought or hoped and prayed it was a one of a kind
  25. I know what you're talking about Charlie, but I've even seen it with guys well into their 30's (if not now into their 40's!) as well. I don't know if it's a lack of respect for the machine, but I don't think video games have much to do with it either. I've seen plenty of children to grown men over the past decade plus between HTU and TRU who seem to faun over the German WW2 military equipment (all of it from hand held weaponry to vehicles) because of their "superior technology" and in some cases don't have much interest in Allied equipment, even though the Allied forces won the bloody war with that so called "inferior" equipment....kinda sickens me to some degree It is a lack of respect in many ways, but if you look at the way people act and shop for merchandise, as well as for where that merchandise "comes from" now, it's sadly not really a shock
