  1. Here's one that I don't have a clue at to why it exists This I can get into, it earned it's rust But to take paint stripper to a perfectly good car
  2. Right now, the first thing I need to do is buy one, from there I have no idea but would love to make it a sled.
  3. I'm not sure, but it'll be a Kustom if and when I get done with it
  4. I've got no clue
  5. I gotta agree there, so long as it's the Bubble top, the formal roof just doesn't look as good to me.
  6. Good luck on that build Harold, as well as everything else!
  7. Hopefully the crawler club will have a presence there again this year, I may have to find and finish that Viper I started this winter for this.
  8. I've seen only one in person, and it had been restified from a complete clunker.
  9. You've got a PM Mike, sorry it took so long, the last four days have been one long blur of merchandising without plan-o-grams O_o
  10. Wow, that's pretty wild, kinda glad that never happened to the one my Sister used to work for!
  11. What's missing, so far they haven't done a Vicky or B400, I'd buy either of those! I though those were 60's vintage kits from Revell and Monogram respectively
  12. I haven't seen it at work yet, but we're in the middle of a cross town move, so who know's how soon I'll see it
  13. Yup, I've even seen them on a Scion xB and thought they looked pretty decent on those too.
  14. I was thinking about it was Dad and I were doing some repair work on the garage today (rotted studs and a base board), I'm going to have to Dremel out between the 'rails and from core support to gas tank. Otherwide I'll have to talk to Doug (the guy who I think might bave bought the glue kit from me) to see if he'll sell me enough back for a complete unibody.
  15. I'm aiming to have a build like this when it's done, but it'll be painted to look like the '94 ZJ I had for about 4 months back in 1998 and totaled in that short period of time. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=281787
  16. And the body lined up with the axles Now the tricky part will be getting this chassis to work with the crawlers suspension. I'm thinking I'll try and create some control arm mounts on the "frame rails" out of black Evergreen styrene I've got here as well as reform some of the floor pan's center and ditch the crossmember and mount the trans there. Either that or get my hands on a glue kit (Think I know who bought the one I had, and he's only going to steal the axles out of it) Any suggestions?
  17. I picked up a Micro Crawler for Cheap and dug up a Lindberg 1/20 Grand Cherokee that I bought back when the early ZJ's will still new to the market to try and combine the two. Only tricky part will be that the ZJ Kit is one ov the snap together kits that uses a platform/pan/promo chassis instead of one with separate suspension and drivetrain detail. Here's the pics so far. Here the two are next to a Revell snap together C6 Vette Stacked and nose to nose
  18. Usually the store I work at goes by the "MSRP" and depending on the price it may have a HTU price on it, although the recommended HTU prices the main office gives us on some stuff doesn't always make much sense (HTU price that is $2 off retail on some stuff ) Usually the HTU price is somewhere between what the store pays for it and what the MSRP is on the more expensive stuff and the shop owners should have some discretion at to what they charge. There were times when the big box stores were still carrying plastic models that the prices they were asking for those was in the neighborhood (and sometimes less) of what we were paying Great Planes (Tower Hobbies), Horizon Hobby, and/or Stevens International to get the same kits for stock.
  19. I'm thinking that one, we're in the middle of a move at mine and the store has all of it's plastic models at the new location.
  20. I think that might be the store that Skip goes to, the one I work for isn't doing that
  21. Honestly Aaron, this video is a good reason I wouldn't buy one. I'd actually prefer a 2dr hatchback like my Dodge Shadow was over a coupe with the f/s van style swing out doors from the appearance side too, those little doors on a "coupe" look just as wrong as they do on the f/s vans (needless to say, I prefer the looks of sliding side doors on vans.)
  22. I got behind one of those in traffic the yesterday that had the larger factory wheels, looked to be 17" and they looked much better on the car, but I agree with you on the anything bigger than 20's, especially with any drop. Speaking of which, I wouldn't be surprised if the kits made for the GP/Regal/Impala would be a direct fit to that Buick. Color wise I think you're right on the money, preferably some sort of white or dark blue or black pearl, candy red, or something more "traditional" (IE post war-mid 60's) color wise. I'd love to see one that is a full on Kustom that has had the door handles and chrome badges shaved, replace the grill with a billet or small tube grill, air bag it, wheels that are more of a disk type shape (think Moon Disk, Sombrero's, Lancer's, ect)
  23. Considering how much work had to go into that car, I'm surprised he isn't asking more for it!
  24. It's about freakin' time somebody brought out a '50 Olds!
  25. Uhg, I've now got the knowledge that we need to replace the right rear air shock on my Jeep........again..........................for the third time this summer
