  1. Sweet, I've been meaning to buy the 1/16 General Lee (or maybe two) as it is and want one of the Petty '71 Chargers too! Do you guys think that there will be parts offered (even in resin) to build the "continuation" Daytona's from that kit?
  2. Well, I'm a dummy I went to try and adapt my Napa 5 gallon airtank to fit the 1/8"-1/8th" female Grex hose over from my decade plus old Badger hose and discovered Menard's has a different measurement for 1/8" than Grex does and that I should have bought a 1/8" male to 1/8" male fitting instead of a 1/8" male to 1/4" male fitting anyway As I dug deeper, I also discovered there is a fitting that would allow me to fit the airbrush directly up to that old Badger hose too, making that Grex hose an unnecessary purchase Luckily after nearly 8 years of non use, that tank and regulator still holds air Now I just need the time to actually use the dang thing
  3. Quick question for you Harry, What kind of airbrush and thinner did you use to shoot the Future?
  4. I'm now a proud owner of a Grex TS3 airbrush and I dug up my old Badger Crescendo and 5 gallon Napa airtank, but have managed to break the trigger on the Badger and it look like I'll have to go straight to Badger for it since none of our suppliers seem to carry that part I also picked up some bottle Pactra R/C pearl and metallic lacquers and would like to try them on styrene as well as lexan, I'm just not too sure if I have to use Plasticote or can use Model Master lacquer primers on it.
  5. I picked up the Grex airbrush from work Thursday as well as the current Model Cars issue, and some Pactra R/C Lacquers in bottles to try on that airbrush.
  6. The ones that really got me is the Allison V-12 land speed car and the all black sled. Don't know if I'll ever build them, but I loved the concepts!
  7. Will do! I think I still have a NAPA airtank that was rigged up as a supply tank for my old Crescendo in the past. I just have to run the air compressor in my Jeep into it to keep it full while shooting
  8. Thanks Manuel, I've already got the TS3 on hold at work, should be bringing it home by this weekend......unfortunately, my sister is using my compressor and tank (as well as Dad's impact gun) for a display at the library she works at for a couple weeks
  9. That is a neat little concept!
  10. I have to agree, that does look good!
  11. That looks really good, too bad Ford didn't actually build it like that too. What's the roof off of, that Caprice wagon thing Revell put out in the 90's?
  12. Don't think I'd make it R/C as it just looks like too nice of a kit to do that too (as well as being a bit difficult to place a steering servo), but put a driver (and maybe a mechanic/co-driver) and place it on an appropriately sized treadmill.............
  13. Thanks Stasch Well, the side feed does include a siphon cup as well as a couple gravity cups, and other than that stuff, they two are identical. I did get the chance to use a top load only gun a couple years back at I-Hobby and really liked it, my biggest concern was one type of cup getting in the way more than another, especially with spraying the R/C bodies on the inside.
  14. Got my tax refund yesterday and I'm looking at buying one of the Grex Tritium (paint gun style)airbrushes and we have the TS3 Side Feed and the TG3 Gravity/Top Feed guns. I'll most likely be using it for spraying the inside of Lexan R/C bodies with lacquer as well as models, when I'm not too lazy to use the airbrush...... Any recommendation on which one I should get, price will be the same either way so that won't matter.
  15. Other than the Transit Supervans and the XJ220 Transit, I don't haver much interest in Euro stuff, now some of the Aussie muscle cars
  16. That's gonna be a biggun when it's done There are some parts of the 80's I don't miss........the paint and graphics in particular
  17. Either the structure of those things sucked harder than an Oreck, or that thing somehow managed to be hauling hiney on impact
  18. Don't know, maybe cross it with one of the B-Body kits so I have a decent chassis to work with though
  19. Ah, I saw that and was wondering what was going on there
  20. At least the older concept looks like a van! I was wondering about the DejaVu thing here, thought the thing in the original post looked familiar yet totally wrong at the same time
  21. Dagnabit, I want one now
  22. Right on the money there Maybe if they made it look like an actual VAN.............................
  23. ok, remind me to never fly my little heli around you, poor little thing gets pushed around if somebody lets loose with a healthy sneeze near it
  24. Don't know if any of the local guys ever saw it, but Winfield, IL PD used to use that generation Chrysler Concords, which replaced 4dr fwd Pontiac Grand Prixs, and supposedly ran Dodge Lancer Turbos at one time too.
  25. 43 out of 48 here too!
