Looks like a for sale sign

What got me at the Auto show last Friday is that you can take a car that is that much bigger, and you may not have any more room in it that the smaller car:blink: I swear that the new Durango didn't have as much interior room as any XJ Cherokee's I've been in

The box art car looks like the one they had on display at I-Hobby in October. The pic really doesn't show it, bit I seem to remember it was nicely built.

If they're part of the early release program the HTU I work for is, they should, we've got at least 3-4 of them on hand right now.

I'd be half tempted to build this one out of the cop kit if I knew hte best way to fab up the correct intake for the AMT Prowler's engine -

Don't know yet, I'll have to wait till next week to buy one. Fixing the Jeep's flat is coming in first priority -

That pushbar doesn't help things, I'm almost wondering if it's because the car is just plain white and hiding or distorting some of the shape -

So........anybody know the difference between the 3.5l V-6 in AMT's Plymouth Prowler and the 3.5 V-6 used in the Charger/300/Magnum/Challenger? -

Judging by the size of the head, it might only be a 6-32 or 8-32 maybe a 1/4-20 and it's in the tread so the local Goodyear should be able to patch it or give me a good pro-rating on it since I bought this set from them little over a year ago. I'm going to ask them to save the bolt so I can see how big it actually is! When Dad was still with the E,J&E, he took a tire to Sam's Club to get replaced after popping it along the tracks. The overly optimistic tire guys at that store were just positive they could patch it even though Dad kept telling them, no, it's not possible. They kept insisting they could fix it, so Dad goes OK and brings his XJ around to the bay doors, opens the hatch, and they take one look at that tire and realize that the rail road spike buried in the tread was a pretty good indication that no, it in fact wasn't patchable in any way, shape, or form -

I remember that, Didn't Coddington's initial fame come from his builds with Buttera? -

Not yet, the ISP might before too long as well as the "unmarked" kit once we get that one in. That'll depend on if I need to just patch or completely replace the right rear tire on my XJ, it managed to pick up a bolt on the past week:blink: -

The HTU I work for got the Illinois State Police and Philly Traffic enforcement cars in today. Box art cars look.....odd.... from what I remember of the Testors R/T and Daytona kits I'll try to get some pics of the box art and post them tonight. I'd buy the ISP model, but I need to get a tire patched on the Jeep, it seems to have picked up a bolt in the right rear from somewhere -
IIRC the RMX kit will have the AWD with Mitsubishi engine, while the AMT model has the basic Chrysler 2.0l 4 cylinder with a turbo conversion on it (which I guess it correct for the car used in the movie.) I'd have loved to fit the "Neon" head to the 2.2 block in one of the Daytonas, but the AMT engine was just horrible IIRC.

I couldn't remember his name, but knew he was part of Spinal Tap. -

I honestly think that has to be one of the best comedy scenes on tv, between Homer and Marge giggling about making out to that "hymn", everybody getting more and more haggered while singing, Lovejoy (who is voiced by a member of Spinal Tap)saying that it sounded like it might be Rock and/or Roll, then the organist passing out at the end, it's just entertaining..........too bad they don't have a full 15-17 minute version of that -
ALMS...lost another one
Joe Handley replied to Nick F40's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Think of it this way, at least we now have the web to watch this stuff on even though it's not on any form of television, that would have been a pipe dream for me just 10 years ago! -
