Here's the update pics
The body and hood ,painted MM Flat Black Lacquer;
Engine compartment pieces in the same flat black;
More assorted pieces and engine;
Interior painted GM Flame Red over a black primer, kinda looked like the Bordueax Red leather interior that my old Lebaron GTS had ;
Wheels painted Graphite Metallic;
Brake Rotors, painted Graphite Metallic with a Dull Coat in hopes that they'll look like Carbon Ceramic Rotors
And now the one problem piece....the nose had issues with the paint, so it's off to the Purple Pond, hopefully it will strip it pretty quickly and cleanly so I can refinish it!
Yup, I just home somebody doesn't decide that there needs to be a minivan series, just imagine how many sponsors you can fit on one of those
That does make me wonder..................
I picked up both kits today, the only differences I could find were the Box, Decal sheet (not impressed with the roof decal, btw), instructions, and there was mention made on the box that it was boxed up in Germany, but made in China
I've worked retail for long enough to realize that the older way too many people get, the more immature they become, then I've seen way too many adult RC racers who don't seem to have the levels of maturity their pre-teen competitors show
In all honesty, I wouldn't even if I owned a shop. I would only carry the Revell with the expressed willingness to order the RoG versions if somebosy wanted to spend the extra dime.
With Dad being a semi-retired railroader who primarily did track work, we have plenty of tools laying around that work well for that sort of work
Lol, let him hear it
I'll have to see if we have one of the RoG Vette's at work tomorrow. I know on some of their kits they claim their made in the European Union and even had a label of the E.U. flag proudly proclaiming so. Kinda curious to see where RoG claims that this and other shared kits were molded at.
I noticed that a few years ago with the kits sold by both sides of Revell, I picked up both versions of the Viper SRT-10 Roadster and the only difference I could find were RoG specific box, instructions, and decals that had some European oriented stuff on it for an extra $7 I was kinda surprised by the difference in the ZR1's so I checked Tower's model site and even that's about twice the price, but found the "Tech Department Notes" to be amazing that for the exact same kit they dumbed down the Revell version's destription:blink:
