  1. I'd probably kit bash it with one of the '59 or '60 Chevy Kustom or Lowrider kits, they chassis look like they're pretty close IIRC
  2. Looks like clear plastic rod that was reshaped with heat.
  3. Noooooooooooooo Kiiiiiiddddding
  4. Have yet to see one built that way, very cool!
  5. ONe thing that has really surprised me is the difference between the Caliber, HHR, and PT Cruiser. I can't seem to fit in the HHR no matter how much I try, the Caliber is tight and almost claustrophobic, yet the PT Cruiser is just as, if not roomier than my larger Cherokee is
  6. What is the story behind that movie, Dad and I were wondering about what "true story" that was based off of
  7. Come to the dark side, we have cookies! :D
  8. Guess I'll wade in here, if the car '48 Coupe was only offered as a replica stock, I'd leave it on the shelf as I have no interest in a "stock" anything (I'll tweak pretty much anything I own in all honesty ) and having this car be an out of the box chop top just makes me more willing to do so. Now had they offered it as a stock top with alot of the shown goodies as well, I'd be willing to buy it too, but that top chop just changes it from a "if I have the money I'll buy it" to a "Put a post it with my name on it after I price tag it and buy it ASAP" type kit As for the being "stuck" with the top pre-chopped "limiting creativity", that to me is just a short sighted steaming load just like "Ready To Runs have ruined the R/C industry!" What is it that makes people think that just because there are things done for you that you can't go back and make other changes to compliment the factory work, or change that portion even further to make it more to your liking or appropriate for the given build
  9. May have been at one time, it's now on the Branson Scenic Railway.
  10. I haven't sat in one of those yet, but being not so small myself, I'd probably be in trouble too then. I have issues with my leg and the 4wd shifter on my Jeep when it's in the Full Time position. Yea, My folks have an '06 Town and Country while my Sister has an 'O6 Charger SE and with less than 40k on it's clock, the T&C has required more repairs than the higher mileage Charger or even my '98 Cherokee with over 140k And then there's the handling, it's doesn't handle nearly as well as my Jeep or the Charger and it's less maneuverable, stable, and can't corner was well as the '87 Chevy Beauville G20 it replaced
  11. Lol, I had to take golf for gym class back in high school, I wasn't nearly as good as you are Be careful with that, I managed to drop a couple dumb bells on myself doing dumb bell presses last week and I'm still sore
  12. I've done some rail photography lately too, Railfreak
  13. Aha, I knew there was a reason that name sounded familiar, I've read a number of his articles in one of the Street Rod publications in years past! According to the PDF on that forum, they produced a car that is identical to my co-worker's for the price that is about what they thought this relative paid for it years back! Thanks Guys!
  14. Good eye on the floorpan there Ed, thanks on both counts. I'll make sure to show him this thread when we work together again. Here's a close up of what's on the floor, it almost looks like it says Ron Fournier if I'm reading that right. I have to admit this camera is great for these kinds of little things
  15. It's Testors' One Coat Lime Ice Lacquer, it does look close to Snake Skin Green though.
  16. Thanks Dave!
  17. Must be semantics then, to me all of those are the same car underneath as well as the Aries/Reliant, Daytona/Lazer, Acclaim/Spirit/Lebaron, and Lebaron Convertible with a few tweaks here and there to work for the differences in the size and class of the car. Really no different than the Fox Body Mustang/LTD/Fairmont/Zephyr, T-Bird/Cougar/Mark 7, or the mid size Mopars, Chargers, and to some extent Challenger/Cuda are the same car underneath.
  18. A co-worker's family inherited this from a relative who supposedly paid around $2200 for it nearly 20 years back. They think there might be only two in existence and the other one is supposed to be in a museum. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v698/bjoehandley/Byrons%20Mystery%20Car/ Anybody have a clue as to what it is and how much it might be worth?
  19. I'll be honest Michelle, I like the roof line on this car, it finally fits with the rest of the car as well as the long nose, short tail appearance. If the Sebring was styled more like this instead of that hideous Crossfire like styling (espcially those stupid hood ribs!)it has. In some ways the over all silhouette kinda reminds me of my old Lebaron GTS, minus the hatch back..... I can't quite agree with that Jamez, the above mentioned Lebaron GTS and the Shadow I owned were different lengths, widths, and behaved differently, but they had many parts underneath that were pretty much directly interchangeable as well as a number of under hood parts even though they were 3 years apart in age with different EFI and induction systems?
  20. Thanks Charlie! It's funny how you mention the custom color thing though. A couple months back my kid sister (who currently owns a 3.5 V-6 Charger ) got a message from Dodge via Facebook about the Furious Fuchsia Challengers and had gotten into a conversation with another member of our gym who recently bought a SRT8 Charger Super Bee (which is nearly identical to the Lindberg Box Art car ) about this message and how she wanted one now. I mentioned to him Monday or Tuesday about the HTU Model Contest so he brought by a Tamiya Supra (very nicely done, BTW!) for the contest. After seeing the above Challenger, he decided to buy the Revell SRT8 kit and paint it that pearl pink from the One Coat line to see how well it will turn out for him!
  21. OK guys, It's done and has a completed thread! http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=36682
  22. Thanks Rob!
