  1. That is going to be wild.....................
  2. Yup, hoping for the same tomorrow too
  3. Just WOW, this is a great looking build! I'll be honest, first thing that came to my mind when I started counting plug wires was the original, as written Hot Rod Lincoln and the line "It's got 12 cylinders and uses them all"
  4. Thanks Jim! I ended up doing a little touch up today and and painted the grills and chin spoiler late in the afternoon then re-cleared the body after we locked the doors and I shot these pics not too long before leaving to go home for the night. I left it there for the night and really hope it turns out as nice as it looks once the clear is dried! The camera I used is a Canon Power Shot SX120 set on 10 megapixels and I can't believe how well it picks up the flake in this paint!
  5. Ok, glad I'm not the only one who was seeing a tach there
  6. I did hit it with that clear, but I may have to lay some more when I fix a couple of my screw-ups though
  7. The quick build-ability of this car is why I'm building it right now. I work for a HobbyTown and a couple of my co-workers are building (well, one is building two with the other's help) for next Saturday's contest just for the heck of it and they kinda "snookered" me into building too......with 1 week to go
  8. I had to open the locating holes for the Hood, Rear Bumper Cover, and Spoiler a wee bit after the paint was dry so they would fit and will probably have to do that for the lights and grill too. I did test fit, remove mold lines, and such when I first bought the kit a year ago and that could be why it does have a decent fit as well. What I liked about that green is that it's pretty close to the Snake Skin Green that was offered on recent Vipers
  9. Thanks guys, this will be a slightly tweeked out of box build with a few E-Body styling ques that didn't make it into this model as a concept or production car and should help hide the major paint flub on the rockers too
  10. Just shot this one at work yesterday with Testors One Coat Lime Ice Lacquer, I did flub a few things, but it otherwise has turned out pretty good and my mistakes should he easy to fix or hide And now for the pics!
  11. There are all aluminum Cobra clones that you can get, I'm kinda hoping that's what it was if they didn't animate that scene further than him falling on it.
  12. That's the one I'm thinking of, must have been the paint fumes, a couple employees and myself are building kits for next Saturday right now and I'm the only one actually spraying outside
  13. It's either Black Crystal Clear Coat or Crystal Black Clear Coat, my folks 2006 Town and Country is painted the same color. I've also noticed that the Testors One Coat Blazing Black Lacquer is nearly dead on for that color too
  14. We've had a couple come through the HTU I work for in the past few weeks, have yet to buy one though
  15. Neat idea, never even thought of something like that before!
  16. Perhaps a Supervan Or a XJ220 Transit
  17. Best of luck to you and yours Mike!
  18. Kinda Harry, might be partially his fault I'm getting back into drawing too! I got hooked on drawing art-deco-esk cars, Kustoms, and hot rods back when Clinton was still in office and I was still working for Toy's "R" Us, but after taking a couple art classes '01-'02 I just lost the interest in doing stuff like this all together for the past several years I'd try to put ideas to paper and all I did was waste materials. Well, for some odd reason I was at the Office Depot next to work a couple of times buying a Cherry Coke and Reeses Peanutbutter Cups and did a quick sketch on a test pad they had by the register, then got bored at work a few days ago and banged out a few rough sketches of the above style cars and a mid 50's domestic style car on a pad of paper. Next day I went next door before work and picked up a pad of paper, some colored pencils, and some erasers and ended up drawing those cars out that night. Not sure why I decided to pick this back up again, but I've already knocked out a couple more sketches since then. Here those are; My attempts at a "Hot Hatch" and a small Mini Van Then a heavily worked over Merc
  19. So I got my hands on a pencil and some drawing paper and sketched these up between 3:30 and 4:15 am this morning;
  20. Was that car built for the movie, or does it actually belong to somebody?
  21. I'm going to be watching this one!
  22. Somebody is looking for a sucker, and I seriously hope he don't find one! If you want a good RC vehicle, go visit your LHS and look at HPI, Traxxas, Axial, Losi, Associated, ect.
  23. Eh, a little from Column A and a little from Column B
  24. Finally got around to taking a new pic of my '98 Cherokee, with my '92 Cherokee bodied Wheely King (blue XJ) and Axial SCX10 (Green XJ) today after taking the little Jeep out and running them.
  25. Hey Greg, that first car is an Australian Ford Falcon that had been brought to the states, and at some point in it's life been converted into the Mad Max Melbourne Police "Super" Interceptor
