  1. Did you polish the body as well?
  2. And that's why I bought it
  3. The legs are light weight aluminum tube that is easy to assemble and disassemble and just plug into mounts that go in the bottom of the case when set upright. All folded up it's not much bigger than a normal briefcase and easily transported!
  4. Bought this from a local surplus store somewhere between 2003 and 2005 for $50 and only used it once before sticking it in the garage. I remembered that I bought it and that it should still be in there so I went and dug it out. It's an old folding voting booth . Here's an idea of how tall it is, next to my stock height XJ on 235/75R15 Wranglers with the airshocks pumped up to 40psi and nearly 20 gallons of gas. The sides are hinged and held up with Velcro and fold neatly into the center of the case.
  5. There are a couple guys form the Cherokee forum I go on that are in 29 Palms, either still serving or now civilians. Good luck with where ever you move to.
  6. That is some fantastic paint, matches the build too!
  7. Looks good Chuck!
  8. I'd probably kit bash it with one of the '59 or '60 Chevy Kustom or Lowrider kits, they chassis look like they're pretty close IIRC
  9. Looks like clear plastic rod that was reshaped with heat.
  10. Noooooooooooooo Kiiiiiiddddding
  11. Have yet to see one built that way, very cool!
  12. ONe thing that has really surprised me is the difference between the Caliber, HHR, and PT Cruiser. I can't seem to fit in the HHR no matter how much I try, the Caliber is tight and almost claustrophobic, yet the PT Cruiser is just as, if not roomier than my larger Cherokee is
  13. What is the story behind that movie, Dad and I were wondering about what "true story" that was based off of
  14. Come to the dark side, we have cookies! :D
  15. Guess I'll wade in here, if the car '48 Coupe was only offered as a replica stock, I'd leave it on the shelf as I have no interest in a "stock" anything (I'll tweak pretty much anything I own in all honesty ) and having this car be an out of the box chop top just makes me more willing to do so. Now had they offered it as a stock top with alot of the shown goodies as well, I'd be willing to buy it too, but that top chop just changes it from a "if I have the money I'll buy it" to a "Put a post it with my name on it after I price tag it and buy it ASAP" type kit As for the being "stuck" with the top pre-chopped "limiting creativity", that to me is just a short sighted steaming load just like "Ready To Runs have ruined the R/C industry!" What is it that makes people think that just because there are things done for you that you can't go back and make other changes to compliment the factory work, or change that portion even further to make it more to your liking or appropriate for the given build
  16. May have been at one time, it's now on the Branson Scenic Railway.
  17. I haven't sat in one of those yet, but being not so small myself, I'd probably be in trouble too then. I have issues with my leg and the 4wd shifter on my Jeep when it's in the Full Time position. Yea, My folks have an '06 Town and Country while my Sister has an 'O6 Charger SE and with less than 40k on it's clock, the T&C has required more repairs than the higher mileage Charger or even my '98 Cherokee with over 140k And then there's the handling, it's doesn't handle nearly as well as my Jeep or the Charger and it's less maneuverable, stable, and can't corner was well as the '87 Chevy Beauville G20 it replaced
  18. Lol, I had to take golf for gym class back in high school, I wasn't nearly as good as you are Be careful with that, I managed to drop a couple dumb bells on myself doing dumb bell presses last week and I'm still sore
  19. I've done some rail photography lately too, Railfreak
  20. Aha, I knew there was a reason that name sounded familiar, I've read a number of his articles in one of the Street Rod publications in years past! According to the PDF on that forum, they produced a car that is identical to my co-worker's for the price that is about what they thought this relative paid for it years back! Thanks Guys!
  21. Good eye on the floorpan there Ed, thanks on both counts. I'll make sure to show him this thread when we work together again. Here's a close up of what's on the floor, it almost looks like it says Ron Fournier if I'm reading that right. I have to admit this camera is great for these kinds of little things
  22. It's Testors' One Coat Lime Ice Lacquer, it does look close to Snake Skin Green though.
