  1. I was talking to a few guys at work today and apparently Lindberg is up for sale?! If that is the case, I doubt we will ever got one.
  2. Dad and I were going to take a lunch break at I-Hobby and we started t walk past a small booth with a big card board cut out that read Tenax 7R When that finally processed, let out with "You guys are back?!" to which they replied "Yes and we're trying to get the word out." They're working on getting their old supply chain back together, including Great Planes, Stevens Int., and Walthers (model railroad supplies and accessories) as well as several others as well as letting retailers know they're making a comeback. I told them between what I've read on here and from talking to customers at work, there should be many, many happy people to hear this. I think that made their day too!
  3. HAHAHAHA! I'd bet that will be a stunner
  4. They had a box for the Tall T and the Gremlin at the show today as well as a built but un-decaled 1/16 GL and a 1/16 Petty '73 Charger though!
  5. I looked at the '48 Fords and the Mustang, I definitely want the '48 and wouldn't mind the big 'Stang either
  6. I took a few pics while I was there, they're all in this link. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v698/bjoehandley/I%20Hobby%202010/
  7. I'll be spending most of Saturday at booth 2502, which is where we (the Suburban Chicago Rock Crawlers ) will have crawling exhibition going on and wandering around as well as the occasional crawling session on Friday. I'll be the big guy with glasses, a full beard and will probably be wearing a grey SCRC shirt on Saturday and a dark blue HobbyTown shirt on Friday.
  8. You going to be there tomorrow too Don?
  9. I'll be there the next two days, tomorrow as a HTU Employee and Saturday with the local r/c rock crawler club competing in the "scaler" comp.
  10. I could go for a '40 kit like that, even more so if it's a '40 Merc Maybe have the Kustom pieces be add-on sections like the old AMT kits from the 60's that can be added onto an existing car without having it be specific to one particular kit or be easily added to others as well.
  11. Did you polish the body as well?
  12. And that's why I bought it
  13. The legs are light weight aluminum tube that is easy to assemble and disassemble and just plug into mounts that go in the bottom of the case when set upright. All folded up it's not much bigger than a normal briefcase and easily transported!
  14. Bought this from a local surplus store somewhere between 2003 and 2005 for $50 and only used it once before sticking it in the garage. I remembered that I bought it and that it should still be in there so I went and dug it out. It's an old folding voting booth . Here's an idea of how tall it is, next to my stock height XJ on 235/75R15 Wranglers with the airshocks pumped up to 40psi and nearly 20 gallons of gas. The sides are hinged and held up with Velcro and fold neatly into the center of the case.
  15. There are a couple guys form the Cherokee forum I go on that are in 29 Palms, either still serving or now civilians. Good luck with where ever you move to.
  16. That is some fantastic paint, matches the build too!
  17. Looks good Chuck!
  18. I'd probably kit bash it with one of the '59 or '60 Chevy Kustom or Lowrider kits, they chassis look like they're pretty close IIRC
  19. Looks like clear plastic rod that was reshaped with heat.
  20. Noooooooooooooo Kiiiiiiddddding
  21. Have yet to see one built that way, very cool!
  22. ONe thing that has really surprised me is the difference between the Caliber, HHR, and PT Cruiser. I can't seem to fit in the HHR no matter how much I try, the Caliber is tight and almost claustrophobic, yet the PT Cruiser is just as, if not roomier than my larger Cherokee is
  23. What is the story behind that movie, Dad and I were wondering about what "true story" that was based off of
