This has been a very informative and in some ways educational thread and has been handled in a mature way by all involved, especially the moderators! I can't think of too many forums I've been on where there wouldn't have been name calling, accusations, and the like for "lesser" topics (usually Democrate basing ), let alone something this "loaded". You guys need to be given a huge thumbs up for this thread!

I'm with every body else here on more modern everyday cars and I love the idea of the Interceptor concept car from "The Wraith" too! I'd love to see modern domestic van kits (well any van kits really, just would prefer newer or just repaired older tooling). I don;t know why there have never been kits made of the regular Jeep Cherokee's, but I'd have no problems letting Revell or Hawk take measurements off mine for a kit if they were so interested.

Where Do You Keep Your Stash?
Joe Handley replied to Clay's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Let's see, most of them are in a storage area I share with my Sister, got some stashed in various parts of my bedroom (I'm single so no problems there), and occasionally I'll have 1 or more in the Jeep, then there's also my RC and slot car stuff on top of that..................................... -
Actually, I'd love to see an old Moonshiner like Junior Johnson run against guys like these

8 lug wheels are probably a good idea on that truck Looks good so far!

Testors New Lacquer Results
Joe Handley replied to Tonioseven's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Those look great Tonio, nice job! If other places are like the HTU I work at, we can't keep them in stock and seem to only be able to get the Orange, Reds, White and sometimes the clear! -
Those are included with the AMT '57 Ford kit so you can build the 312CuIn/312hp version (yea, it was a 1 horsepower per cubic inch engine just like the Fuelie Chevy!) of the Y-Block.

Looks good, so what's the corner weights?

Since this would be a "what if" model, lets say that Plymouth got their hands on a handfull of Chrysler, Dodge, or DeSoto Hemi's for this short production run of factory racers and produced just enought to make them legal;)

I just re-bodied my Wheely King crawler (which is going more the way of a trail rig of late.... ) with a HPI Jeep Wrangler Rubicon body that is approximately 1/8th scale and was looking at that and my new Losi Micro Desert Truck (1/36th scale) and realized it seemed like the Losi would look like a 1/5th scale stadium truck in comparison. Now I'm thinking about making a mount so I can strap the MDT to the back of the crawler to make it look like it's hauling a 1/5 scale RC on the trail. Here's the WK on it's own (sorry, cell phone pics to follow) and the MDT and a couple pics of the two together with the MDT on the back of the "cage" I figure that I can use about 8 zip ties and battery hold down straps for the new E-Flite Blade 400 (below) to make the hold down for the MDT What do you guys think?

Faithfully Recreating "white Diamond"
Joe Handley replied to wdcav's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
If it's anything like the stuff Mopar sells, you WILL want to test it out on scrap plastic. The Mopar Parts Moss Green Pearl spray touch up for my Jeep has some pretty nasty stuff in it and will hold onto the lexan used for RC bodies as well if not better than Pactra R/C and Model Master Lacquers do. I'm getting ready to shoot a HPI Wrangler Rubicon for my crawler and will even use a resperator this time around (didn't bother to read the can until after shooting the body the last time I used the stuff ) I'd bet the White Lightening wouls look really nice on that truck BTW, and you could always put the Model Master Pearl Lacquer over the top of that if you so desire. -
Looks incredible and clever idea with the rims. So I'm not the only one who thinks that...........................................................

I thought the same when I saw it, I just hope it's carberated or multipoint EFI and has a Dana 60 or 8 3/4" out back in stead of TBI Injection and a Ferd 9" out back.

This year my sister's boyfriend bought his nephews a couple costumes for Christmas this year, one was given a pirate costume and the other a ninja costume both from Toy's "R" Us. I guess he mad some comment on Christmas Eve about how the oldest one, Justin, who got the Ninja costume can "Kick arse when arse needs to be kicked" and Justin heard him say it. My sister, her BF and his Mom were sitting on the couch at Mom's home while his older brother was helping the oldest put on the ninja costume and next thing they know the BF's older brother says, "JUSTIN!, you don't say things like that!" Evidently he told his Dad that "Now I can kick arse when arse needs to be kicked." My sister, her BF and his Mom are all sitting there on the couch laughing while the BF's brother had to scold the boy and bite his tongue to keep from laughing the whole time.
