  1. Is that a Daytona/Superbird style nose in the bottom left corner of the of that image?
  2. Here's a pic of a couple C&NW trucks from that time period http://webpages.charter.net/harrisjc/highrl.jpg
  3. The paint was factory on this one, doorjabs, underhood, and all!
  4. Where did they get the yellow at the time? My Dad worked for The Chicago & Nortwestern Rail Road at the time and they had a lot of bright yellow GMC trucks of all sizes. He also had a very basic but bright yellow 6.2l Diesel 1986 GMC Jimmy (with factory installed true duals no less ) as a company provided vehicle. Now IIRC that yellow was really close to the yellow used on the Corvettes at that time too! I'll have to dig around on railphotos.net tonight and see what I can find now that I think of it.........................
  5. That's what I've been wondering for years, especially after hearing about Ford's accountant engineering of the Pinto and Explorer, Chrysler's 4 speed transaxles (the notorious Slip Oh No) being done the same way, GM's re-engineering of the Turbo 350 to work ok in applications that a Turbo 400 could have done no problem.........
  6. Dang that's low!
  7. That's because they want you to completely re join the forum after the redo, you can't sign in under your old screen name and password.
  8. My thoughts exactly! Agree there too, I'm kinda surprised that Earnhardt Sr. only killed himself with that type of driving!
  9. Haven't been there in a little while and posted in a long while. When they re did their forum and fixed it so we had to re-join to use it, I decided to just not bother. I won't even bother to buy another issue of the magazine until they get a new editor.
  10. That Ford just screams CarToons!
  11. Just got a couple RC's unexpectedly and inexpensive, hopefully I can keep from spending it on those.
  12. Big difference when you have what's supposed to be a family sedan wrapped around you though, and look who'd the father of the guy that said it!
  13. Looks good, you going to keep the B-Pillar or go pseudo hard top?
  14. Here's the YouTube clip! http://youtube.com/watch?v=yCk8F9jofpo
  15. Hahahahahaha! I'm kinda surprised that Mercury has lived this long, wasn't there talk about killing Merc off at the same time that Plymouth was laid to rest?
  16. Dad said something about that, laughing the whole time he was telling me that That would have been histerical
  17. Gottcha, that's for the response! I noticed it on a door that was being modded in the current Rod & Custom that I was assuming might have been a real car that was being cut up.
  18. That's one of those things that has always annoyed the ###### outta me with that kit, and have always wondered why it was made like that.
  19. Can't wait to see that one cleared and built
  20. Lookin' Good so far! I have a question, what in the world is that little bit of plastic in the back side of the door window openings for? I've never seen that on any real '33 or '34 Fords
  21. Wow, he got hurt a looooong time ago, glad to see he's still racing!
  22. Just saw that one of the Traxxas sponsored trucks won too
  23. Haven't noticed it with Beetles, but I did notice it with XJ Cherokee's a few years ago and this year with Fiero's
  24. Makes my "graveyard" look like a redneck's front yard
