I've been thinking about digging up some bondo for the '57 to fix the craters and any dips from between the depressions and trim.

IIRC this was a display at a car show.

I've been working on the 1/12 '57 CHevy as a lead sled and wanted to completely remove the trim, so I glued it in place and ground it down with a dremel leaving a bunch of craters in the plastic around the trim derpressions and tried puttying the '53 Ford years ago with disaterous results. I'm debating about completely removing the side spear or just the upper half that's i line with the hump I asked about. I was actually wondering about filling it with evergreen or Plastruct that's a wee bit thicker and smoothing that down instead.

Good god that looks like it'll be one hell of a job on that '58 what would you guys recommend for filling the depressions in the shell for the chrome trim, especially where the quarter panel humps are on the '55?

We just got a couple in at work and I'm thinking about buying one of them to kustomize, is the chrome trim separate from the body like the 1/12 '57 Chevy and Lindberg '53 Ford?

From what I understand, it's relabeled Createx airbrush paint (literally just a different label and name for said color!) that is bumped in price a bit. It will can be airbrused without thinning but it will be a dull finish so you will have to clear it with a good acrilic safe clear and the stuff will be lifted by alchohal based cleaners so beware!

Do they ever ad a flapper to those stacks for keeping the rain out?

But it has a Weber Carbed SBC under the hood too One thing I did that I'm still proud of is that the passenger side bubble window wasn't used during the build, I used a 1" or so square piece of the plastic bag the parts came in and CA'd it to the inside of the body so it looked like it had been broken out! That model was built from a kit that's older than me too! IIRC it as a '74 issue called the "Candy Van" (but is still the same as the A-Team Van too)

That is a very nice looking color on that car!
