  1. Thanks, I did pick up a can of MM white lacquer primer and a can of Nassau Blue today.
  2. Looks good, I really like how the body mods turned out on it, here's what I would do for the rims too http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti00...=LXDH19&P=7
  3. I just bought a new issue Stingray III kit and would like to paint it in the MM Nassau Blue Lacquer. Has anybody had an adverse reaction with the purple pigments in the plastic bleeding through Model Master or PLasikote primers? Also which would be better to use, white or gray primer? Thanks!
  4. Very cool, I kinda dug the first pic without the a pillars, almost gave it a cantilevered roof! If you revisit it in different build, try the roof off a Chevelle like your real one pulled back further on the decklid area and try the a pillarless top too!
  5. We got those in at work the other day, really nicely done too!
  6. Love the new hood, fits the car perfectly!
  7. But atleast the 2x6 bumpers are somewhat usefull.
  8. There was a diecast one made by Testors IIRC several years back.
  9. And that's why I trash canned it, it was begining to feel that way too!
  10. WOW, very nice job! IIRC one of the engineers on the 2.2 project (which is actually a /4 ) was also one of the engineers that brought us the /6! The L-Bodies didn't have much in common with the K-Chassis and it's variants other than drivetrain and rims though, but that doesn't keep people from thinking they're all undeserving of the Mopar name, even among Mopar enthusiasts (just ask Phil, we had to defend all the front drivers on another forum we're both on!)
  11. I'd love to get another Turbine car, I screwed the one I had up so bad many years ago and would love to get another one! Now for my "boogie-kit"..............I bought the last re-issue of the AMT '64 Riv and with in the week, I'd cut my self badly working on it, destroyed the spoked wheels trying to get them off the tree, and got into a nasty arguement with a co-worker I've always gotten along with! I finally got spooked enough that I threw the kit out on the day teh garbage company came to pick up garbage at work. I hope the kit got destroyed before anything else happened to somebody!
  12. He actually made it drive the rear wheels! Gotta give these guys a thumbs up!
  13. I will buy one of those GLH's!
  14. Nice, what did you use for the whitewalls?
  15. Looks like I'm going to have to drag mine in from the Jeep and get started!
  16. I've always thought that was funny, only difference is euro market specific decals and instructions then a new box.
  17. I've been thinking about digging up some bondo for the '57 to fix the craters and any dips from between the depressions and trim.
  18. IIRC this was a display at a car show.
  19. You'll need a clearcoat too.
  20. Thanks Obssesive! I've been working on the 1/12 '57 CHevy as a lead sled and wanted to completely remove the trim, so I glued it in place and ground it down with a dremel leaving a bunch of craters in the plastic around the trim derpressions and tried puttying the '53 Ford years ago with disaterous results. I'm debating about completely removing the side spear or just the upper half that's i line with the hump I asked about. I was actually wondering about filling it with evergreen or Plastruct that's a wee bit thicker and smoothing that down instead.
  21. Good god that looks like it'll be one hell of a job on that '58 what would you guys recommend for filling the depressions in the shell for the chrome trim, especially where the quarter panel humps are on the '55?
  22. We just got a couple in at work and I'm thinking about buying one of them to kustomize, is the chrome trim separate from the body like the 1/12 '57 Chevy and Lindberg '53 Ford?
  23. X2 Stoga...err...Phil!
  24. Neat concept!
  25. Kinda looks like their 1/25 Snapper! Good Job
