Finally, there’s this one I need to find and finish, I was going to go more along the lines of a cruiser or low rider with this one. https://instagram.com/p/BW4KHunBs52/ Still think it need some flake heavy paint and maybe a stainless looking roof to go with it!
-
Also got this one for free many years ago, the roof was crushed badly, so I took the bubble top from their T-Bird kit but have yet to really break out the Dremel to make it work. I really need to do something with this one, it would be pretty wild if done right.

I’ve bought a few of these and started all of them, but yet to finish one. I grabbed this one and threw the rolling stock from their ‘34 3 Window snap kit, set it low then eventually did some clean up of what little flash there is and a bit of sink mark filling on the decklid.

Street Fury Customs and Custom ‘58 Fury
Joe Handley replied to Joe Handley's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Did more sanding on the Street Fury’s hood where I filled the blower hole and wet sanded the rest of the primer on the car. I will say this though, the Street Heat’s 5 spoke wheels on this car have grown on me, though I’m still thinking about a smaller diameter set on here too. -
Did a little putty and sanding work on the Concord tonight, unfortunately, my work schedule (got the “late” hours, so there’s a lack of daylight afterwards) and the weather this week will affect the primer and then paint work from being finished sooner rather than later. Well, on to the pics....... Still thinking about ditching the Street Fury 3 spoke wheels for a set of Aoshima’s VIP wheels though.

Quick update on the Concord, wet sanded the primer last night, found I need a little filler on the left side of the deck lid where the wing went in and behind the right front headlight due to a sink mark for the body mounting post on that side. weather isn’t going to be cooperative next couple days so I’ll need to do that to the Fury and have a couple other cars I’m prepping for primer as well. The green Bronco/Scout looking rig next to it will be going brushless, hopefully by Memorial Day, since we’re waiting on parts at this time for it?

Chrysler Turbine Car for sale
Joe Handley replied to Richard Bartrop's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
There’s a new Steve Lehto video of this car getting started and driven by the museum that acquired it, as well as the guy who dealt with these when they were given to the public! -
Street Fury Customs and Custom ‘58 Fury

No, it’s going to get painted something more fitting to a 50’s era car, not sure what yet, but definitely not neon green. -
Street Fury Customs and Custom ‘58 Fury
Joe Handley replied to Joe Handley's topic in WIP: Model Cars
This one is just getting the hole on the hood fixed, maybe home made exhaust tips, and possibly still different rolling stock, as the Street Heat 5 spokers aren’t really locked in on this for me, much like the 3 spokers off this aren’t locked in for that either. Have no idea on the color on this will be though, Dad was hinting at the copper with white side inserts like the ‘58 his parents bought back in ‘58. I know what I’m painting the Concord and that will be period correct Mopar, Chrysler just never offered it on most of their other offerings, so far as I know? -

Also forgot to post the starting pics as well?? -
Here’s the SnapFast Slammers “Street Fury” kit I bought a couple weeks back. It’s going to be nearly box stock other than the “Street Heat” Concord’s wheels and a filled in the blower hole with .060” Evergreen styrene sheet and Tamiya white filler though next time I’ll be using their .080” sheet instead and hopefully will need less filler that time. any suggestions on how to make that bumper and grill assembly actually too?
-
Here it is in primer with the wheels From the Street Fury kit for now, debating about looking at Aoshima’s VIP wheels instead though, it needs more meat in those openings, even if they’re smaller diameter than box stock, IMHO.

Thanks Paul!

Been a while since I had a chance to do much with this kit, put it in primer today to see what I need to do to fix the sanding scratches I made and to help find areas that may need a little filler work too.

While it's an R/C related purchase, these do look pretty realistic for what they are meant to represent! Mod19RC Micro Shark................dududu..dududu.......... Type S conversion kit! Sorry, couldn't help it They offer 2 versions, a Type S with a Suzuki Samurai/Jimny style hood/cowl and grill or the Type T where the same parts are intended to represent the Toyota FJ40 and both are 3D printed. Here's the designer's builds, I bought the parts to build one like the blue Sami on the right. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/mod19rc/611960-micro-shark-tube-buggy-conversion-scx24.html and here's the parts for the Type T paid out on the "shop floor" then here's a short video of the blue one in action....... Now I just need another one of these, some better rolling stock and a frew other goodies to complete it!

They had the full version out for a while, not sure why they even bother with the blue one vs the full version though.

That’s what my brother in law got, the side effects hit him pretty hard, but he’s also in his 20’s and it sounds like the reaction to the side effects may be worse based on how young the recipient it. I ended up with chills the following night after dinner with my first shot then slept it off, so I’m hoping this one may be similar.

Other than a sore arm where I was given it and being a bit tire from getting up earlier than normal, no.

I bought a couple of these back when they came out in purple with green preprinted graphics and liked it other than the preprinted graphics and stupid looking tuner wing. Saw it and one of the Fury kits at a LHS when I stopped to get some more stuff for me Axial SCX24 Deadbolt and decided to grab both, starting with the Concord since it needs less work due to the lack of a “hole” to fill in the hood and build it along the lines of a V.I.P. Style build. I put it together to get an idea and glued the wing in place to act as a filler for the holes in the deck lid to mount it then red red the axle holes since it was still at what looked like the stock ride height. Removed the wing and cleaned up the flash tonight. That said, the drop, wing removal, and low camera angle really make this car look right.
-
I’ll be honest, that lowering and ditching that stupid looking tuner wing goes a long way on that Concord. A 2dr as a lead sled style could be interesting and easy to do on these!

Picked these two up today, think the Concord is going to be more of a VIP style build and will need to take a look at HobbyLink for their VIP accessories. Now, the Fury is going to be box stock other than rolling stock, May look at Pegasus for those.
