Got the Recall Wheels in for the Charger. Still got to fill in the quarters where the rear butresses were before I started hacking things apart.

I had that issue too, ordered some parts out of Michigan on a Saturday, they were mailed that following monday and according to USPS, should have been here that Thursday got shipped to Charleston, SC by then but it took another full week an extra 9 days to get from SC to here in West Chicago, only to find one of the parts was squished in transit.

Almost forgot about the Death Proof Charger too. Wouldn't take much to make this car from one of the Dukes kits too.

There was an identical Charger used as the bad guy's car in an episode of Street Hawk too. And yes, the guy at the computer console as well as the guys in the Charger should look familiar

Nice build, color and wheels kinda remind me of Magnus Walker's blue 911 Turbo on Campagnolo wheels too.

I think that might be cast from the Greenlight 1/87 diecast of the licensed Supernatural Impala

Cool, thanks Michelle! I have a few of the General Lee licensed kits, including a convertible one I've posted in right now in the on the workbench section. I like this one better than the MPC General Lee/Country Charger glue kit that has been out off and on since the late 60's.

Cool, I was wondering what changes Round 2 made to that kit for it's post DoH era (no pushbar and antenna holes it looks like), may have to look at a couple of those now too!

Yes, multiple times, it was a struggle to put together and may trim the chassis a bit so I don't hurt what ever I use for paint.

Having discovered the GTX Convertible is coming back to market, I ordered one to see how they have the back seat area mapped out for where the top and it's well wraps around the back seat, then Dad is going to try and build it for the model club's end of year project, "Convertibles", while this Charger and one of the Prowler Concept Car Snap-It reissues made info a "Highboy" (basically, fenderless) is what I'm going to try and finish. Still waiting on the Recall Wheels, for some reason the USPS chose to route them through Chareston, SC on their trip from Michigan to Northern Illinois

I saw something about that on YouTube, I think in a video from Adam the Woo or Justin Scared when one of them went there. The city will only allow southwestern appropriate coloring on the businesses there, so that is the only McDonalds in at least the U.S., if not the world that you'll find that doesn't follow the corporate color scheme.

Yup, when she slid into me I had the steering at full right lock and she caught the left front wheel and tire before hitting the sheetmetal and the shock from that is what took out the gears, figured the TRE's and related nuts were a "better safe than sorry" measure. The clockspring in the column was damaged when I tried to curb park it before realizing the steering wasn't working and overextended the wiring in it. I was thinking the same on having the dealer fix that, especially with the car having the "MaxCare Lifetime Warranty on it", better that they do the work with the right parts and have a record of it vs a body shop that might be strongarmed into an el-cheapo repair.

Nice to see that Snap-It General Lee get some love here!

Dealership finished the mechanical repairs on my 200 yesterday and I was able to pick it up last night after work. They ended up replacing the steering rack (gears innside were shattered!), tie rod ends, nuts, and clockspring in the column, which cost more than the rack after the core charge was factored into that part! The insurance picked up all $2200+ dollars of that repair too, which is almost what I paid for my '85 Lebaron GTS when I bought it in '95, and not much more than a year of liability insurance on that car for an 18 year old too Now I just need to get the bodywork done and already have a new gas door on order since the hinge for that was giving up over a year ago and figure now would be a good time to pay to have that, the back d/s door ding and left front corner damage fixed. All the damage is on that side if they have to blend for the crash damage, this just makes sense.

I didn't realize that was him when I read of his passing on Magnus Walker's Instagram page. I remember seeing something not long after Firestarter broke here in the States that he was walking out of his apartment and a couple neighbors started giving him a hard time because he was ripping off the hair-do from the guy in tne Firestarter video..........not realizing he was that guy

That is horrible and way too young. Reason he wasn't on this new 90210 might be that he's been playing Archie Anderson's dad (yes, THAT Archie!) on some teen drama called Riverdale (yes, THAT Riverdale too...) since it started a couple years ago.

Forgot to post a pic last night, filled the antenna and pushbar holes as well as started modding the back seat for where the top structure folds into.

It would if I had one or was able to get one easily, but only thing I would really need was the that I couldn't get from the Revell Charger kits would be the top boot that appears to be a resin copy from the original issue of the MPC '69 Coronet Convertible. I have thought about the Fireball "Late 60's Dodge" door handles to replace the not so great molded on the door handles and the Revell kit ones have a portion of the sprue is attached in a less than great spot in comparison. Not sure what I want to do for the side markers, the as molded in ones really aren't much better than the also molded in door handles.

I've messed around with a couple of these a bit, the push bar and antenna holes can be filled with regular Evergreen rod sized, then you just need a little Moltow for the bumper. Will need to do that with the drop top I'm building right now. BTW, good looking build Tom!

I figure that with these kits being a snap kit intended for the kids and grand kids of those of us that grew up with the show, they probably designed them to be a bit sturdier than the original kits or a more traditional model would be.

Moved the daisey panel using scalding hot water. Also have started modding the interior tub to imitate a top frames around the back seat and ordered the Recall Wheels from Kris at MAD Modeling for it too.

Order placed, may have to look at that K20 bed at some point too, kinda want to build the jump truck from "The Fall Guy" too............
