  1. The big Promaster vans also get the same 283hp version of the 3.6l/speed auto combo that my 200 has and had been put in the Chrysler Minivans from '11-'16/'17. The little ones only seem to get the 2.4l/6 speed auto combo.
  2. I was wondering what it would take to make that top look like a Carson Padded Top, maybe use the wide whites and Caddy caps from the Merc kit on it! Is that an Integy board under the body?
  3. Saw it while coming home from visiting Mom at the hospital, it's an '82 factory 5.0l and T-Top car that was converted back in the late 80's under license and has never seen the salty roads of a Midwestwern winter. It even has a whole bunch of sounds that both KITT and KARR would make and the KITT sounds were actual William Danials (also well know as Mr. Feeney in the Boy and Girl Meet World tv series) sound tracks that were activated via pushbutton or in trying to enter the car, with the alarm system.
  4. Sooooo, this happened tonight.............. by bjoehandley, on Flickr
  5. It depends Jim, I hadn't gone for myself is at least a decade prior to Obamacare and finally did go right around the time we lost Harry due to coming down with what was diagnosed (and I think may have been cronic) bronchitis. Pre-Obamacare I was without insurance for a few years because no one would sell it to me due to my weight and would likely want nearly what I was making at the time, prior to buying my 200 if I could find one that would sell me a policy. Once I could buy after Obamacare, what I could afford was something I could buy, but wasn't making enough to be able to use it. Now with my current employer, I have good insurance through them and make enough money and have more availability to time off to actually use it......which I have done more since March than I have in probably the last 20 years.
  6. Had my physical today, between getting the blood drawn and tetnus and flu shots, I feel like a bit of a pin cushion. Doctor got after me on my weight too, not that he isn't more than beyond justified to do so.
  7. This one was one of those lost I do have a suggestion for it's remains though..............
  8. Passed a clone of The Bandit's Kenworth while on my lunch break today, no TransAm that I saw though.
  9. Well Amy, you father meant a lot to all of us, even if he wasn't met in person. I was lucky enough to have talked to him on several occasions because he would come into the HobbyTown I used to work for to get supplies for his builds.
  10. Good to hear, I'll be watching for them!
  11. Good to know, I was looking at the stuff at HobbyLobby Saturday but didn't pick any up since I didn't see if anything special needed to use it.
  12. What Red did you use on it?
  13. How do you like that paint, does it need thinner or anything?
  14. I Just scheduled myself for a physical on Aug 12th, appointment with a vascular dr. On the 19th and am waiting on a precription for antibiotic and water pill (the latter will make call center work interesting!) after recently developing a nasty looking infection near my ankle that may be tied to the vascular issues I've been dealing with for the last few years and just now getting checked out due to having a better job and insurance now.
  15. Dang, while I'm not at all a fan of that particular car, this one off in particular, you did a fantastic job recreating it, especially considering it's 1:55 scale!
  16. Yeah, I have to get my stuff off of it still, but yeah, wouldn't care if things spun left or right.
  17. Since I was using the free acct, I wouldn't bother with it.....now if I was a paying customer and/or they locked us out of our pics as a whole, that would be a whole different story.
  18. Ah, thanks Nick, a friend of mine who still works at the Schaumburg HTU had mentioned America's Best (he worked there for a little bit), I'll have to look into Ron's at somepoint too. I know a couple guys who I met through the HTU I worked for that have been up to Model Empire and talked about it in a very good light.
  19. Which shop is that Nick? Since I'm not shopping at the store I used to work at by choice, I've been going to the area HL and Michael's stores, wandering up to Schaumburg HTU from time to time, and going to Lombard Hobbies when I have time and they are open (last 3 tries were on holiday weekends and the weekend of a big train show in St. Louis).
  20. That looks like a nice kit, and easier to build that the PL version. Are there grooves outlining there the green graphics are though?
  21. Here's what it looks like, it was made by Cool Gear. http://shop.coolgearinc.com/16oz-tiki-tumbler/ New thing to try and paint. by bjoehandley, on Flickr
  22. I just picked a cup up yesterday at the Hy-Vee closest to me and think it needs some detail painting and maybe some glow in the dark paint. It seems like a fairly soft plastic and I intend to leave brown it's molded in the main color, but want to paint the eyes, teeth, brows, bone in the nose, all the V like shapes molded around the face, ect. What would be the best way to approach this? I'm think of starting with a coat of Future, or what ever it is now called, and apply the additional colors over that and maybe use some of the glow in the dark for things like he eyes, teeth, nose bone piercing, and V details then clear the daylights out of it so I can actually drink out of it at work. Anybody got any recommendations ?
  23. Bill is right on the money here, especially if being shot out of a rattle can! I've shot a few r/c bodies with the candy lacquers in spray cans and they can have problems if the moreso if the weather isn't quite right (usually too humid) too.
  24. Oh that just sucks! A friend of mine lost his '08 9-3 sedan like that, sitting at a red light when he got slammed from behind by a late model Suburban doing 45mph! I think that driver managed to take out at least 3-4 vehicles if you include that 9-3. Fortunetly, my friend walked away stiff, sore, and with his allergies acting up from the all the powdery stuff that deployed with the airbags in his car. He was just happy that he was the only one in the car too, his son was an infant at the time and his wife and baby were at home at the time of the wreck, so they were safe.
  25. I Agree and it is appreciated!
