  1. Nope, although I think they prefer unwrapped coins so they can run it through their own counter. I don't have a debit card though, I prefer cash or check. The Jewel/Osco Mom and I worked at has one, I'd rather take the change to my bank or roll it and bring it in for that store to use and keep that 10% Used to have a sorter too, hope yours was better than mine was.......
  2. Just took my change cups (32oz plastic drink cups filled with change) to the bank, had $220.10 between the 4!
  3. I had thought about poster tack putty too, just haven't had the chance too look yet .
  4. Cool, I didn't know HobbyLobby carried those, I'll keep an eye out next time I'm there, it'll work for the Harley LED style headlight setup I want to use too! Thanks!
  5. Give it time, there will likely be one before too long. The Chrysler 200 in my avitar pic is one of the cars that left Sterling Heights with the 3.6l/6speed auto combo from the vans and Journey and it's the same with those. The cars solid 14 second cars on regular and MT got 13.99 on E85 with their '11 test car, that's Fox Body/3rd and early 4th Gen F-Body territory! They're also limited to 120mph (that one still is), but they can be unlocked with programmers and run upwards of 155mph!
  6. Any suggestions on how I can get the quarter glass installed on my Revell '32 5 Window? I had them fall out when I was assembling mine and one disappeared when it hit the floor, but I think I found it and would like to put them in, but can't get it back apart to do so.
  7. Nice! those Bolts sound like they will be fun too, apparently the only reason they don't run a solid mid 14's in the quarter is that they're limited to 93mph
  8. Thanks, I wanted kind of a sinister, down and dirty street fighter/chopper like hot rod, plus the time frame I had to work in, wouldn't allow for something pretty. I did get a picture of it from last night with a friend's (and former co-worker) more showcar like version of the 3 Window and a Model A Lowboy he built with input from his little son and a Surf Woody he put together. Oh, here's the other two year end contest builds, the black Ardun headed roadster (also built by a good friend and now an inlaw of a current coworker) and the Model A p/u came in First and Second, while my friend's 3 Window and Chopped A tied with my 5 Window for Third.
  9. Thanks, it's Model Master GM Flame Red over the same Duplicolor Black Primer the rest of the car is painted in, I just left off the clear coat to give it a semigloss sheen over glossy on the wheels, engine, and interior. The chrome that remains I hit with Pactra Window.Tint for lexan R/C bodies. The tail lights are self stick rhinestones from Michael's and I may go pick up some normal ones today while heading over to visit Mom.
  10. Threw this together for the club build project. I've known about it for a while, but with how the last 4-5 months have been, so I kinda threw this together in the last couple days between work, visiting Mom after work, and sleep, which is why I don't have many build pics of it. Not my best work, and I have a few things I'll do different if I build another one of the '32 Kits. The headlights and shocks/brackets are in the purple pothole (I used a prescription bottle), but those will be in flat black as well and I may paint the shock portion with Future once the black primer is dry.
  11. Looks about like it did here in Chicago this morning, Bill. Our first snowfall of the season that actually stuck! My supervisor had gotten an email that we were going to be closing what branch offices we have in your area for the day because of it too.
  12. Thanks guys, and me 4 when it comes to singing
  13. Just got word, Mom should be coming home on 12/20/17 from the Nursing Home ahe ia currently in, been away from home since August and nearly died on us a few times over the last few months.
  14. 5:30-8:30pm on weekdays and 11am-4pm on Saturday, since I only have weekends off now, I try to go on Saturdays when I do.
  15. Didn't see any at the Naperville HL last night, and who knows, by the time O can check out the Batavia and Bloomingdale ones, they might actually have them on the planogram!
  16. He actually works with a friend of mine at a Chevy dealer several miles north of his shop. The shop is usually worth the trip from West Chicago and gave me an excuse to visit the Hy-Vee there too (Mom being in Sycamore for a few weeks gave me a great excuse to go a couple times to Brian's and several to Hy-Vee though ), he actually has as much, if not more inventory than I currently do!
  17. That's about an hour north of West Chicago, and the place Mom is in is just south of 75th in Naperville. Usually I've been going to Lombard Hobbies (mostly train stuff with a small plastic selection) or the Schaumburg HTU and then Brians's in Dekalb while Mom was at the small, private hospital in Sycamore the last few weeks. There aren't any hobhy shops that I know of in Naperville, R/C Hobbies closed up in 2010 suddenly one spring weekendand the HobbyTown I had worked at there closed in 2008. All that said, for what I have planned for that Chevelle, 40% off might be more than I should have really paid for it anyway.
  18. Yea, unfortuneaty, the closest one to me so far as home or the nursing home Mom is at right now is the one I worked at and I have no intention of going back into that store unless it changes hands, moves, or closes (and is replaced with a business I might be interested in visiting).
  19. Picked up one of these to try and chop, could be an interesting way to try and ruin the kit
  20. Yeah, it becomes tricky when the LHS' I will support are a good bit further away that the HL or Michael's are. I no longer support the one I used to work for, which is closer than the craft stores are, soooooo....................

  22. Just weight myself again today, down another 10lbs from 11/10/17, 35lbs total since August.
  23. Not sure, I finally picked one up at a normal LHS today, may have to get more at HL when I get the time and money.
