It wasn't intended t be a Lee kit, but the original issue did have the flag on the decal sheet and the instructions showed that it was aupposed to be out widthwise across the trunk lid. -
Sacrilege or really cool? Hmmmmm...

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Lose the 93mph limiter and throw some slicks and skinnies on lightweight rims on one of those Bolts, and you could go and play with Musclecars in the Quarter Mile, and probably put a few on the trailer! -

I dig it, with the instant torque offered by electric motors, I can easily get into them and my preferences lean more towards acceleration over sound (the fewer the cues that you're up to something, the better), just lines up better. -
Hey happy new year?My Jeep battery is dead

It's had to find stores that still enforce a return policy like that, let alone consumers who won't pitch a fit over it when they're in the wrong. That's some of why I'm happy not to be in retail any more, besides the near constantly changing scheduling, hours spent walking or standing around, ect. I slent more time than I liked working the Service Desk at the now closed Toy's "R" Us in St. Charles (they closed it and another little TRU 10 years after I left and opened one larger store on Randall Rd, since that is where the shopper were) and that was one of only jobs I hated in that store, the other was working in the "R" Zone (electronics department). I've been accused of "Decimation of Character by a thief, had somebody demand a full refund on a partial return on some Buy One, Get One Free purchases, slot car set returned "because the cars wouldn't stay on the track", taken back stuff from other stores that we also sold and given them more than they paid the other stores back for them..........I'll just stop there, but will say that I preferred cleaning toilets and the fridge in the breakroom to that job. -

Sadly, that's what people want, an appliance, not a car. The sooner autonomous cars get here for those people, the better. -

Lol, I know a body guy that refers to many of them as "parts changers", since they change parts based on what a computer tells them. Had one buy a receiver pack and when he discovered the plug to go into the receiver was different (I was either off or on lunch when he bought it, and nobody else on staff that day may have known better), instead of calling my store, explaining the problem and bringing things in to get things straightened out, be butchered the wiring on the battery he bought and on the 4 AA holder the truck came with and put the wires together with wire nuts. Needless to say, nothing worked and he came back mad, and got even more so when I said we couldn't take things back because of how he hacked things up! -
Another track closing
Joe Handley replied to Psychographic's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Dad had that issue at the last railroad he worked at., farmer sells land along 100+ y/o right of way and devloper builds houses right along it. Potential buyers drive over crossing of said track, look out the back window of house who's yard backs up to the tracks, drives across tracks again while leaving and still buys house. Homeowner then comes and complains to Dad about not blowing the horns (federal requirement) or shutting down right of way, Dad nicely calls him a moron without actually saying the word and goes back to work. -
Thanks Nick, other than my sinuses constantly running, an annoying cough, and, a voice that comes and goes (lets just say working the phones is interesting right now), I'm doing way better now! I do plan on going to Dupage next month, haven't missed one since my sudden career change made it possible!

I'll have to wait until I can go to the Chicago Auto Show next month, But I'm not liking the nose on the new Silverados so far and I'm on the fence with the new Ram and refreshed KL Cherokee. -

Thanks, 25 years in service industry jobs probably helps in cases like that. -

The original issue had a Confederate Flag on the decal sheet for those so inclined. The reason for the General Lee licensed kit to be replaced with this is that after Dylan Roof shot and killed all of those parishoners, including South Caroline State Senator Clementa C. Pinckney at the The Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church and his Facebook showed him branding guns, that flag, racist statements, ect prior to his murders and giving a good window into why he did what he did. Warner Brothers pulled the licensing for newly produced Dukes of Hazard merchandise after the first of 2016, because of the show's connection to the flag, even though it was used under a different light through out the run of the show and round 2 did do a good job of not making it obvious on any GL merch. Basically, don't blame the PC Police, blame Roof for his actions that had consequences that reached much further and in different ways than he expected. -

I've been thinking about the S&H Torino as one source, as well as looking for some of the MRC MuscleCar big and little sets to use on the "That 70's Van" kit that may get built for my club's 2018 build contest.......which is to build something from the year of your birth...... Luckily I have 2 of the flat box '76 Gremlins and the 3 different 70's Chevy Van kits are of the pre '78 models, which basically are the same from I think '71-'77! -
Me too, the Jeep isn't running right now, as I found a possible fuel leak after putting a fresh battery in it and haven't had the time, weather, or health (still getting over that bronchitis) to investigate where, let alone try and fix.

Thanks, I was looking for 70's era Van type wheels, guess I'll look elsewhere then. -
I'm in Naperville right now (Mom is back in the Nursing home, made it 2 weeks...) and it's snowing here now.
-
Other than a couple days last week, we've been in the single digits or low double at the warmest then when I left for work on the morning of 1/2/18, with a nasty case of bronchitis no less, it was -15°........and of course, my 200 decided to blast me in the face with the frigid air under pressure

I still say they should have retired this tool and let the newer snap kit take it's place. -

What does this include for wheels and tires? -
Weighed myself at home for the first time in a few weeks this morning, I'm now officially down almost 55lbs from my heaviest!
-
Thanks, oh and I now feel like an idiot......I have a couple of those Matadors here and planned on cross breeding one with a couple AMT Viper GTS kits using the V-10 for power. Completely forgot I had them.........

Does anybody make a decent aftermarket 401 or other AMC V-8 that could be swapped into one of these?

Revell Olds Cutlass 442/ FE3-X kit review
Joe Handley replied to GMP440's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Honestly, that's why I got sick of the R/C Racers vs the guys who ran the Crawlers. Way to many times would I see 30-70 year olds act more childish than actual children that came out to race. Not surprised to see that when it comes to models either. -
What about the 454SS PickUp kits, should have a Turbo 400 behind it and then you would just need to swap the TBI for a Carb, and would probably be fine.
