  1. Kinda thinking it's good I'm no longer with them then.
  2. Um, it's been put off until Friday the 13th?!
  3. Lol, not sure, I was even thinking of some sort of bright green! I did find that they seem to be hard to find like that on Google too.
  4. I broke down and bought one of these at HL tonight, have a weird desire to build a late 80's monochrome pastel custom ElCamino now that I see this kit is available.
  5. Well, that is a good possibility then Jeff, maybe once the court's decision on Revell is made on 4/10 and any new owners take over, things will start up again.
  6. Wonder if they didn't have as many of those on hand when things went south compared to the other kits.
  7. Wouldn't mind seeing a modern version of this movie truck done with one of those beds.
  8. I like that, a whole lot! After watching the Leno's Garage with one of the surviving K.I.T.T. Firebirds from Knight Rider, I want to do a ProTouring-ish K.I.T.T. now too........ended up buying a a second one at Michael's this afternoon So that will make for a Lead Sled-ish Lincoln Futura, a Dark Knight themed ProTouring '66 Batmobile, and now a ProTouring K.I.T.T., a Street Hawk and a Happy Birthday General Lee inspired '69 Chargers (both black, the former with Turbines and antenna, the latter in black with capless steelies), think I need help....................
  9. One thing I noticed with the step not lining up with the cab, take a look at the Square C/K trucks I posted, the set is just as out of line with the bottom of the cab as on those as it is the 2018 Sierra. Don't get the bagging on the square openings either, don't see much wrong with them.......now that ugly first couple feet and 22" wheels on the other hand...............
  10. I wouldn't be shocked if that was the case, I swear the bed portion of the different brand stepside bed assemblies were all used from the 50's into the 80's until GM started using those 'glass sided "Sportside" beds in '88. IIRC, those Sportside beds fit the '68-'72 Shortbed chassis surprisingly well.
  11. Honestly, I think the cab might make up the difference there. Honestly, I dig the look too.
  12. That looks a whole lot like the '73-'87 stepside bed!
  13. Thanks, I was wondering about that. To be honest, I like the kit snowflake wheels as well as the disk wheels from the anniversary kit and wondered if there might be some way to get a tire and barrel then place the stock rim face in the center of it, kinda like some of the 20"+ lowrider wheels where it was the normal "Dayton" style wire wheel in the "23in" barrel.
  14. Don't even know where to look yet!
  15. Finally opened the 1/16 '79 Firebird I bought a few weeks back, thought I'd take a few pics of the baggies to post up here.
  16. Is there anything out there for the 1/16 MPC Firebirds in resin or 3d printed? I've already picked up the '79 at Hobby Lobby a couple weeks back and have been thinking about the '82? Firebird kits too. Kinda want to go more of a ProTouring/Street Fighter look with them.......although if there was a K.I.T.T. conversion for the 3rd gen...........................
  17. I've seen those same rims in the GM '77-'96 B-Bodies and they even fit the Astro and Safari vans before those went to 6 lug that last year or two they were in production. Recently I saw a mid-90's Express conversion van that was wearing the '94-'96 Impala SS 5 spokers, kinda made me want to put a set from the Revell kit onto one of the Revell 70's Shorty G-Vans they brought back out a few years back too......
  18. HERB KING?! Just what what kind of herb he's referencing.........
  19. Was thinking the same thing.
  20. What about the '66 Batmobile kits?
  21. Probably one and the same.
  22. I've heard that there was supposed to be an Estes buy back of sorts and that Revell had an interested party that would be good for them (hobbiests, not bean counters), but I thought that Horizon looking into what's left was quite interesting. From what I understand, Horizon was founded by ex Hobbico employees that weren't happy with them?!
  23. Well, this is interesting?! https://www.bigsquidrc.com/horizon-hobby-files-bid-to-buy-hobbico/
  24. Seems like things started going downhill at my store after it went through that remodel in '00. Just didn't seem to be as easy to stock the shelves, we lost 2/3 of our store room (and we were already a little store), and we didn't seem to have the selection afterwards as well.
  25. Toys R Us founder dies days after chain's announced shutdown https://www.yahoo.com/newsroom/vibes/us-news/v-ecd5e8af-dc90-3332-9efb-d522bf6b8dfa_c-f205b2ae-39e1-38fe-8993-4adecc7758ae_a-250de6ed-8a34-35fb-8801-011191c37bd2 It's more than just their decisions that killed it, not quite like Hostess where it was likely straight up incompetence mislabeled as excessive costs and lack of sales.
