Scale vehicle inspiring a 1:1 vehicle
Joe Handley replied to Impalow's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You inspired me to buy the Foose F100 with your build, also now know what I want to do with the Revell Lowrider Magazine Impala I bought tireless almost 2 years ago! -
Well, there's one take on the "Bug Out Boat" concept..............................

Has anybody here ever heard of R1 Concepts? They sell brake components under their own name as well as other brands and seem to be very reasonably priced for their stock replacement components too. www.r1components.com

More pics! Sorry, I can get the pics to load from my phone, so here's my Instagram for what I've done so far.

That worked pretty good!

The tunnel notch is nearly perfect, so that can be left as molded. I may clearance the wheel tubs a hair as that portion of the wheel well has way more rhan enough room for those 23 inchers from Pegasus though and will look into the bolsters after that, they're almost a perfect fit otherwise!

Got some more work done on it yesterday, glued the engine bay togethet as well as put the nose piece on (talk about fiddley!), and stripped the chrome off the wheels so I can give them the proper aluminum finish.

Anyone buying Revell kits just in case?
Joe Handley replied to slusher's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I've been buying from Michaels and Hobby Lobby and using their 40% off coupons, of the kits I bought, the Lincoln Futura us the only one that I didn't buy at one of those two. -

Joe Handley replied to slusher's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have some, picked up a second Foose Caddy, second Lincoln Futura (for less than $20 on that one too!), two more prefinished ZL1 Camaro kits for engine and trans donors (3 so far), plus a Honcho and Foose F-100 kit. Pretty much anything I may have a future interest in as a project or parts car. Still looking for more though. -
Yup, I think he got to friends with the owner/builder of it too!

Joe Handley replied to 935k3's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
So.......has that media group that bought Formula 1 last year recovered from that purchase yet? -
Where did that Li'l Coffin come from ?
Joe Handley replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I wonder if the change to the roof was to strengthen this one in comparison to the original. -
Kinda reminds me of a certain Blue Devil.....................

Aftermarket wheels for my daily driver
Joe Handley replied to Monty's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
This, believe it or not, 5 lug rims for Mustangs will fit both my 2012 Chrysler 200 and XJ Cherokee (as well as the ZJ Grand Cherokee I used to own.....and maybe Dad's '06 Town and Country too......) in both offset and bold pattern, only part I'm not sure on is hub centricity between the 3. -
This would make a pretty sweet build though, just start with the AMT Firestone F250 for the body!!

MPC Pacer Early Hood
Joe Handley replied to Joe Handley's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I've thought about that too, although if I do decided to try and find the wagon, I might do something along those lines and get rid of the headlight lumps too. -
MPC Pacer Early Hood
Joe Handley replied to Joe Handley's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
It does, but I would be ok with a resin repop if available. -
Does somebody make an earlier Pacer hood and grill vs what the recent reissue has with it? I wouldn't mind back dating that part of the car if possible.

Been picking up Revell kits I'm interested in as I find them, so far bought one of the Foose F-100 kits (may do a second), then a second Foose Caddy, second Lincoln Futura (for less than $20 w/tax!), another prepainted ZL1 for another donor kit (mainly drivetrain and seats, it does come with a LS-A and 6L80E after all!), and one of the Jeep Honcho kits.
