  1. Thanks guys, ended up buying a Revell 914/6 kit at Hobby Lobby to steal wheels from, since it's supposed to have Fuchs in it and I might be able to mix them with a set of Pegasus wheel sleeves to get the look.
  2. Has anybody here run across Fuchs wheels in resin, preferably with tires? I've got 2 of the Revell New Beetle snap kits, one I kinda want to build more like a tuner and the other in more of a rally or safari build, but want to put the Fuchs style wheels on them. Basically, I want to do these kinds of looks on them. But use wheels and tires more like this for the off road stanced NewBug
  3. I didn't intend to knock the fabrication work, I agree that looks like it'll be very solid, I'm just wondering if it will see much road use or just be a show queen. I'm hoping it'll be road going like the above FC is, but I'll believe it when I see pics of it in use on the road.
  4. Considering the work done, I'm wondering it it will see more than 25mph.
  5. Kinda disappointed that they didn't try to stuff a shortened C5-C7 running gear in there, if you're going out there, might as well go all the way out there.
  6. Not sure why, unless it's what was on my radio at the time, this video came almost straight from my dash cam with just minor clipping the begining and end of the footage. That first road though, I couldn't see how bad it was until I was in the water due to the rain.
  7. Here's how that drive home went.
  8. Just had an unintended opportunity to test my 200's water fording ability, made it home on all 6 without any warning lights on.
  9. Funny how people always seem to forget that part, isn't it.
  10. I figure at that point, I'm going to be going for a swim anyway and will need to bail from the car. At least it's not like the '15-'17 models, those pull air from the bumper and would suck in water then shatter the bottom ends on the 3.6l.
  11. Not really, look at a lot of cars that come out of there in comparison.
  12. It's Distributerless, each plug has it's own coil mounted to the valve cover directly above the plug, also above the headlights!
  13. I thought Colani's name sounded familiar Add a jet inlet and exhaust and some batwing shaped fins to this one, it could pass as a Batmobile!
  14. Things like that are why I'm happy my 200's inlet is above the driver side headlight............ That's nearly as far off the ground as the stock airbox inlet on my XJ Cherokee!
  15. After seeing the results and process on Instagram and YouTube...... I kinda wanted to try it in scale, so I picked this stuff up at Michael's today, got the New Beetle for $6.99, one of the powders for 40% off and the rest for 20% off their $3.99 price point.
  16. Little Sister and I agree
  17. Take a lot of beer holding to make that look good in my eyes.
  18. With all that garbage on it, I hope that JK has a LS? or Hemi swap so it can actually move! The Pentastar might be over stressed and I'll bet the 3.8l would struggle with all that lard.
  19. Keep seeing this little critter, I kinda dig it and bought Revell New Beetle Snapper to try this on.
  20. Considering that was likely a prototype, if Chrysler no longer has it in it's personal collection, it may have already been crushed by them decades ago.
  21. Prior to the whole lockdown thing, ads had gotten so bad with their normal site that I would post pics that I had on there from my phone since their app works so much better than the site does, even with the ads on that app too!
  22. I got an email from them for the much better pricing, probably going to take them up on it, I have a lot of stuff on their between my styrene and R/C stuff that would be easier to keep there, and I find it easier to use that Flickr too.
  23. Picked up a wagon kit today.
  24. Just discovered these kids, holy smokes
