  1. I love whitelines on any late 60s car, reminds me of the kit tyres in the old AMT annuals, white line one side red line the other. This is absolutely stellar work as always Steve, Im a big fan of your builds, they are so clean and with a fantastic attention to detail. And I love the colour choice.
  2. Thanks guys I appreciate your help, looks like scenesunltd have what Im looking for.
  3. Now thats not a kit you see built to this standard very often Wow !. That really is top class work.

Superb Peter, as other have mentioned its the best build Ive seen of that old kit., who did you use for the rechroming?, I know you were asking about that a while back Im in the UK so if you found someone in Europe it could be very handy.
  5. Do any of you guys know of any other place apart from Modelhaus who does the AMT compact whiteline tyres as used in the 60s annual kits like the 65/6 Barracuda 65 Mustang etc. I need a couple of sets but they are hard to find. thanks, Gary
  6. Beautiful work Jon
  7. Thats probably one of the nicest builds Ive seen of that 72 GTO, I like the side windows too, nice touch.
  8. Beautiful box art on both
  9. Ray thats a great idea !..... Ive never thought of using Balsa
  10. Funny you should mention those Airfix 1/32 kits Tom, I'm building the Airfix mk1 Ford Escort at the moment, they are exceptionally well detailed little kits.
  11. I think we all have similar stories, I was a vehicle nut from a very early age and apparently could name most of the cars on the UK roads by the time I was 3 (1980), fast forward a couple of years , probably 83, I was living with my Grandparents in a small village that had a small post office/shop, in there they had these little model kits, I think they were made by Grisoni they were around 1/43 ish scale very basic and they were european cars, I loved those little kits and had several of them. When I came back home after living with my Grandparents I got massively into Lego and that took me pretty much up until around 1988 when I was 11 years old. Then on one trip into town for some reason the model kit section of my local toy shop looked really interesting and I was drawn to a Revell 54 Chevy Panel van, I remember taking the kit home with a bunch of Humbrol paints and glue .........and ruining it !, I made a right mess of that thing, but I kept on building through my teens up until I was about 17, stopped for the usual, real cars, girls and beer, and picked it up again in about 2003 when I was 26 and I havent stopped since, I absolutely love the hobby, even have my own Youtube channel on my models now.
  12. Very nice, I haven't seen one of these built for a long time, and then see 2 at once yours and Al Meskes
  13. Looks great Kevin, really like the plain Jane look.
  14. Whats happening with the Magzter digital version of the magazine, there doesnt seem to have been any new issues on there for a long time ?
  15. 2 very nice examples there Bill, I had great fun building this one, Ive heard it mentioned that the 64 GTO they also did has some body shape issues but Ive got one of those too do some day as well. Its about time Round 2 dusted the Coronet off and rereleased it .....I bet we see it next year !.
  16. Thanks for all the very kind comments guys, I could have foiled it, but I really wanted this to be a quick and stress free build, however I may foil it down the line ?
  17. That is a very impressive interior Steve, great work as always
  18. I've heard plenty of horror stories about this kit, but I have to be honest I really enjoyed building it, and it does need to be built ....it certainly doesn't snap together lol !. Body is prepainted out of the box, the rest I painted and detailed, no extras all straight from the box. In retrospect I should have wired the engine, but this was a quick easy build after the Corvette, and I'm happy with it.
  19. Mines due in thr next few days, I'll post pics unless I get beaten to it..
  20. Thanks Tulio !, and thankyou to everyone for the kind comments
  21. I built my Color me gone kit a while ago now, but I made the mistake of NOT fitting it before paint.....I so wish I did as the rear panel had a major warp to it, still you learn from your mistakes .....
  22. Thanks Steve, and thank you all for the kind comments
  23. If I can remember correctly the instructions show the part the wrong way round, it needs to be mounted opposite.
  24. Just the one hood in this kit Snake
