  1. Love the plain jane look Eric, really nice job.
  2. That looks great Tom, that engine bay is crying out for some wiring detail
  3. A very mild 64f here in Cornwall UK today, 69% humidity
  4. Just a little bit OTT there Lol, the guys just starting conversation. Im not really a modern muscle builder but if I were to pick one of those kits it would probably be the 2010 Mustang followed by the Camaro, I think they're both nice looking cars.
  5. Great review as always Adam, really enjoy your "loser car" reviews, Ill be getting one of these and building it as the pony express !.
  6. Bob great job !, I really like the look of the white bumpers, more of a worktruck look, I did the same on my 69 F100 I built recently.
  7. Im definitely in line to get one of these, its a great looking car and a pretty decent kit by the looks of it . Ive put off buying one of the Lindberg ones for a long time because of the windshield cowl error, I think some of the early run of these kits had an incorrect over exagerrated curve to the cowl.
  8. Thanks guys, appreciate the comments.
  9. One of Lindbergs better efforts though IIRC, and nice box art again too.
  10. Id say he's just used a stock 4dr photo, the kits is a 2dr

    eldorado.

Fantastic work, These Eldorados look the buisiness in black in my opinion.
  12. Takes as long as it takes, I grab time as and when I can and dont rush, I can do a model in a week, or 5 months + but they all get done eventually.
  13. Great work Steve, I love watching your work on these old annuals, just proves with a bit of work and a lot of talent !, a very good model can be made from them.
  14. Thanks Jesse, it's nice to have a kit that doesn't fall together sometimes, makes it a bit more challenging lol, the Pepsi decals were not the nicest I've used to be honest, man they are thick decals !. I also need to do a big shoutout and thankyou to Dave Van, I used his excellent Fotki tutorial on making these MPC stockers go together a lot easier.
  15. Bruce thats a real good way of describing this kit Lol, you are absolutely correct though, it took a lot of fiddling to get the "adjustable" wheelbase to look somewhere half decent.
  16. Ill go with the thought that kids will find their own interests and hobbies, my Dad had zero interest in cars, not one person in my family or any of my friends built plastic model kits, but somehow back in 1988 I discovered you could actually build scale models of cars, there were no hobby shops where i lived back then (In fact there still isnt now !), nor where there dedicated model magazines or the Internet. But looking at that Tamiya Mini cooper kit in that regular toy shop back in 1988 and that rack of Humbrol tinned paint got me started on my styrene journey.
  17. Finished this one up tonight, I enjoyed building this one it is a typical 70s era MPC kit, I think they used a universal type chassis and engine on these kits and they are a bit light on detail so I didn't go overboard on it. It's built straight from the box, and I used Holts car spray paint. Of all the models I've built over the years this is my first stock car, I'm happy with it .......from 6ft away !
  18. That did come out ...super clean !
  19. Ive had this happen to me on a few of my completed model posts, it doesnt bother me in the slightest, actually sometimes its nice to see how another modeller has built the same model. However...... When someone posts a photo of their model on someone elses post and they then post loads of replies after someone has said they did a "real nice build" that can get a bit annoying lol.
  20. I'll jump in on this one, Im from over ere so this is what Id like to see Lotus Cortina Mk1 (Amazed this was never done by Tamiya) Ford Capri Mk1 Ford Sierra Cosworth Ford RS200 Jaguar XJ6 Series 1/2/3 Land rover Series 2a SWB Alfa Romeo Giulietta Late 60s (Italian Job police car) Aston Martin DB5 (A decent modern kit) Fiat Dino Coupe Peugeot 504 Vauxhall Chevette HSR Triumph Dolomite Sprint and finally a standard road shell Mk1 Ford Escort But I doubt any of these will be considered.
  21. Very very nice, probably the best of seen this kit built yet
  22. I also use Embossing powder, I only use two colours, black and a clear which can be overpainted with any interior colour, it looks much more i scale and realistic than flocking in my opinion.
  23. Thanks for that Tom very kind
  24. Two new ones this week for me, Riviera's pretty nice apart from the seats and custom wheels, the MPC Toronado needs a bit more work !
