  1. I kind of like that Luc, that Transit is certainly better than the beer, never was a fan of Carling Black Label...
  2. Absolutely !, I'd love to see a Mk1 Lotus Cortina it's such an iconic car and was even raced in the US, I'm quite surprised that Tamiya never released a kit of one. I'm actualy still in shock that the Transit has returned !.
  3. Im sure Ive read that the Ala Kart parts wont be in the kit which is a shame, however that Dodge red ram engine in this kit is probably more accurate than the undersized effort in the "newer" Ala kart kit.
  4. Not sure if this has been mentioned in a previous post but it looks like Round 2 are also releasing Bobby Issacs 72 Ford Torino the old MPC tooling
  5. Thanks Helmut, I wouldn't have known anything about that kit so that helps a lot, it's a shame no one does the early version apart from this old ESCI mold.
  6. Very suprised and pleased to see the Transit back, I had one of the Paris/Daker ones years back and sold it on, and then regretted it ever since, and the prices have gone a little crazy recently. Ill be getting 1 or 2 of those , interested in the Muira too
  7. Id get Moebius to tool up a 1960 Chrysler 300F, always loved those cars
  8. Beautiful work Jason looks great with the Torq Thrusts, one of the best builds I've seen of this kit so far
  9. Stevie Wright has gone as well !, I did not know that Ray sad news, I loved the Easybeats and Little Stevie always seemed to bound over the place with energy, I know he was very sick in later years. The loss of Bowie is a massive shock to me, his early 70s albums shaped my teenage years, a particular favourite of mine is Queen Bitch of the Aladdin Sane album love that song..... RIP Mr Jones, Mr Wright & Mr Kilmister
  10. Thanks for all the nice comments guys, I appreciate it.
  11. Thanks all for the very kind comments
  12. Thanks Tony, there's no mirrors in the kit, not even an interior mirror, the only ones I had in the spares box were from a 70 Torino and they didn't look right on it.
  13. Couple more pics......
  14. Finished 2 models this weekend ...a world record for me!, I've had this one on the bench for far too long do about time I finished it up. This is the 1970 AMT Ford Custom police interceptor, I've built it as a detectives/undercover car, the interior is detail painted and I've added a cb radio, dash spotlamp and a shotgun. The engine has been modified from the kit motor, this is meant to represent a 351. It's a very basic kit but it's turned out ok I think.
  15. First completed build of the new year for me, I actually managed to get two finished this weekend that Id started months ago !. First up is this 1967 AMT Camaro Z28. Built this completely box stock with added paint details, I hand painted the redlines on the tires, the motor is the stock 302 and I've added a decal to the air cleaner. I had some minor fit issues with this one I could not get the rad shroud to sit properly and the quarterlights look very poor if you ask me ... I also used stripe decals from 2 kits to make them less opaque. Sorry Harry no mirrors, the kit didnt come with any although I had some in the parts box but they did not suit it ......
  16. Love that Impala Mark, looks very nice, what wheels are on that ?
  17. Thats great news Gregg Ill look forward to that, I use Zinio its a pretty good platform for digi mags
  18. Id love to be able to get the Tamiya Ford Sierra XR4i and Cosworth RS500 kits again for sensible money, they were some of the first kits I built way back but these days the prices have gone a bit high for me.
  19. Im in the UK and I digitally subscribe to the "other" mag, Ive always hoped that modelcars mag would be available digitally so the future does sound promising.
  20. My fantastic girlfriend got me the AMT Crew chief chevy blazer and the Revell BRE Datsun 240z, plus a Badger 200 airbrush kit.
  21. I wouldn't even think about making notes or counting hours I just can't see the point in that .....each to their own of course. That said I do take a handful of photos throughout the build process., and normally mark the date I completed the model inside the body.
  22. Not that I ever need an excuse to buy myself a kit lol........ but I do generally buy one kit for myself for Christmas which I import over from the US, I don't go so far as wrapping it and I generally keep it quiet from my girlfriend as I'd get a right telling off for buying so close to Christmas ! This year my present to myself is the Moebius 56 Chrysler I'm also hoping my girlfriend has got me a kit too ?
  23. Very nice build Randy, as always, Id love to find one of these kits
