    67 GTO

You did a good job on a not so good a kit......Ive heard so many horror stories about this kit that I think Id like to try and build one soon just because I like a challenge.
  4. Looks great Mike, that would look real nice with some of the Good Year Polyglas tires from the recent AMT parts pack. Love the colour very nice
  5. Those outside pics really show it off well, also nice to note that AMT didnt do a bad job on those 8 lug wheels over 50 years ago !
  6. Love it Al !, Ive already seen this one on Facebook but I just love these 66-69 Falcons, probably one of my grail kits if I could ever find one.
  7. Looks real nice Ray, love the dropped look and its great to see these old kits built up like they should be instead of sitting on the shelf.
  8. Finished this one up recently, its the old Lindberg kit. Enjoyed building this one, it was the first time Ive ever done a two tone paint job and I used rattle cans for the paint. I reworked the front suspension to give it a more up in the air look, as I think built standard the front sits down too low. I had some fitment issues mainly the rear panel which was warped, I unfortunatly didnt find this out until Id painted the panel and tried to fit it!, also the way the wheels fit onto the hubs is a very poor design of the kit.......and the decals ?......dont mention the decals !, Microscale liquid decal film came to the rescue here, after they broke up on me. However Im happy with how it turned out in the end.
  9. I was bought home in a 1969 Ford Cortina Mk2 1600e in Jade Green, I was born in 1977 so this car was a few years old even by then.
  10. I have this Prestige kit, I got it from Ebay earlier this year very cheap and I was pleasantly surprised at the kit contents and the drag strip stuff.
  11. I built the last issue of the VP Charger a few years back I remember the roof was a bit of a challenge for me to get right back then, but Id happily give it a go again now. Its not a bad kit at all typical late 70s early 80s AMT but thats not always a bad thing if you like challenge lol. I also have the Street Machine issue from the early 80s with the yellow convertible on the box, this one doesnt come with the roof.
  12. Exactly what I was thinking, looks very convincing
  13. Nice work Ray, love the lowered stance
  14. This is a very old buildup of mine from years back (1998 I think) so please forgive the lack of foil and other details, but this shows how the Fire Chief kit builds up straight from the box
  15. You are correct mark just checked my 2 kits and its the same body as the recent re-release Heavy Chevy version
  16. All these photos of 59 El caminos is making me want to build one of these now rather than the Impala !
  17. Peter thats the photo I was looking for!, it was your model that made me think they came in the 59 El Camino kit, love this model mate its beautiful.
  18. I have 2 of the Impala fire chief kits as well, I think the only unique parts to the Impala kits are the steel wheels (which could be sourced elsewhere) and the half moon bowtie hubcaps.
  19. Still waiting for MCM to go digital, come on guys....... Yes I know I can get a sub in the UK but its far to expensive
  20. Hey if you guys are practically giving them away send them my way please Lol !, In the UK Nascar kits are difficult to get hold of, they generally sell for between £12-15 per kit ($18-22), as of yet I have never built one and Id love to, Id happily pay $3-5 dollars for a kit
  21. Just to offer the UKs take on this on all old cars say pre 1975 we would call them hubcaps generally because they cover just the centre part of the wheel (wheelnuts/hub cover), form the late 70s on when cars had full covers we call them wheel trims .
  22. Looks unbelievably good for 2 hours Al, Ill take my hat off to you very impressive. In 2 hours Id still be getting rid of mold lines and maybe would have glued the engine halves together !
  23. Joseph those steel mopar wheels look great, are there any plans to do them in 1/25 ?, they are just what I need for the AMT 68 Roadrunner
