  1. Absolutely stunning work Yuri, to be honest anything you do leaves me amazed but this is very nice indeed.
  2. That is stunning !......enough said
  3. Thats a good looking model Jason, just a couple of things and please take this is as constructive. watch out for those seam lines on the bottom of the transmission and bell housing, a quick swipe with a sanding stick takes care of those and the ignition wires are a bit overscale, but I appreciate you were probably working with what you have to hand. All that aside if you havent built a model for 20 years the thats a nice peice of work.
  4. Great job Barry looks the part mate
  5. Nick that is stunning, exactly how I'd have had one, the steel wheels and centre caps finish it off a treat, did you say you cast those yourself ? I'd love to have set
  6. Thanks Ron, looks like another part to add to the neverending MODELHAUS list lol !
  7. Hi all Does anybody know a source in resin for the half moon dogdish hubcaps as used on the 59 Chevys like the Biscayne, Bel Airs etc. I think they come in the AMT 59 El camino kit but they aren't easy to pick up over here too thankyou in advance
  8. I havent seen one of those in years!, and I certainly didnt relalise they did a kit of one. Great Job Chuck, you've nailed that old beater look, they used to use these as taxis over here in the UK back in the 80s/90s, Im pretty sure the suspension and drivetrain (apart from the engine) were based on the old Ford Cortina Mk5 parts.
  9. Im going to go for 1966, the Olds Toronado, Buick Riviera, Pontiac GTO, Dodge Charger, Lamborghini Muira and Jensen Interceptor, All beautiful cars.
  10. 88% I need to do my homework, mind you Ive probably never seen 95% of these cars in this country
  11. Bill thats a stunning piece of work, Ive always liked this kit but Ive never seen it done this well
  12. Great work, very clean build
  13. Thanks for all the kind comments.
  14. Hey all here is my latest build this one was built for the 2015 Cancer awareness build on YouTube. I painted it as close a match as i could find over here in the UK to Hugger orange. Not my best build bit of a 6 footer ! Lol. The kit is what it is.....a typical 60s/70s AMT offering, lots of molded in detail and it took a lot of work to get it looking so I'm happy with it, I have corrected the kits errors in that I removed the side moldings that are leftovers from the 68 Chevelle body and I also cut the vent glass. The rear bumper and taillights are the resin pieces from Missing Link and they look great. The engine is wired with a distributor from Preston's car parts Oh and Harry I know it doesn't have any side mirrors !, they don't come in the kit and I didn't have any correct looking ones in the spares box, it does have an interior mirror however .
  15. Steve I cant believe I havent left a comment on this one , Ive come back to this post several times already because that model is just beautiful. Superb work, I could only wish to build to this standard.
  16. Very excited by this one, darn Moebius with all these nice kits coming Im going to be broke !
  17. Tommy fantastic job on this mate, Im building the 69 Convertible at the moment for the Youtube cancer awareness group build, as we all know this kit has its shortfalls, I wish i knew about your tailight decals before. Im using the missing link rear bumper and lights, but seeing yours has given me loads of inspiration. The headlamp decals you do are they specifically for the Chevelle or do they cover various different sizes?.
  18. Thats a beautiful looking truck, great choice on the colours, and a very good job
  19. Awesome work Yuri !, nice to see one of these Trumpeter kits built up too, I know the kit has its faults but you have made it look very very impressive. Great work
  20. Ive had some of this C1 stuff for a while but not really used it properly yet. It is a very simlar product to Kosutte Ginsan but is not as potent (ie harmful). Its basically like a graphite based very fine powder, as you can see by Arts spoon test like all chrome finishes it relies on a super smooth shiny basecoat. Base colour plays a big part in the overall finish, unlike with Alclad black is not really my preferred base its too dark a finish. I prefer to use a mid metallic blue or a grey as Art has used. Sorry I have no photos to show of the results, but it is a very good product, and can be handled pretty well and also recovered if a mistake does happen.
  21. Great work Tony another old kit that still builds up real nice, Ill echo all the comments on Grabber Green , I love it
  22. Beautiful!...both of them, very clean and the interior and foil work is very well done. I built one of these as a convertible a couple of years back, and really enjoyed it, despite its age the kit still builds up pretty nice. What wheels have you used is it the Revell 66 wheels ?, they look so much better then the kit stock ones.
  23. Great work John, never built one of these but always wanted too.
  24. I do this a lot, I build a model it looks as good as I can get it, I take some nice photos and then end up giving it away if one of my friends shows an interest in it. Its the building that keeps me entertained, once they are done ....what can you do with it (I dont have infinite cabinet storage unfortunately) So best to pass it on to someone who will treasure it .
