Just completed this one for a community box stock build on youtube, rules stated that no added parts were allowed to be used, so no plug wires etc.....not that you'd see them anyway! I've always wanted to build the Little Red Wagon kit as a stock A100, so I used this as my opportunity. For the age of the kits molds it's not a bad at all, a lot of flash and sink marks, and it's very fiddly in places particularly the opening doors.I could not get those doors to fit snug and man did i try!. I used the stock 273 V8 for the motor. I got the look I was going for. .....hope you all like her.

The cost of trading kits
Mr Stock replied to mikemodeler's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Im in the Uk so getting anything from the US can be expensive for me, but it varies so much typically on ebay i can pay as low as $15 for a kit, it can be as much as $40!. As for trades I have no problem if its something we both want, shipping parts is pretty reasonable my end, but as for kits that can get expensive. -
This is the best rendition of this kit Ive seen built so far, very nice indeed. Can I ask where you got the RS grille from, I really dislike the grille that comes in the kit. The wheel swap also makes a big difference to the appearence.

about how many models have you
Mr Stock replied to bubbaman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Well if you decide to sell any kits in the future Christian let me know, I also collect diecast and we are in the same country ..... -
We are an Autoglym distributor at my work, the super resin polish is very nice and I have used it on my models before, although as Geoff mentioned it is slightly abrasive. I personally now use, novus 2, followed by meguiars polish, and I top that with a carnuba wax polish.

Built probably about 20, unbuilt kits 160 ish, I build way slower than I buy ! -
How many builds do you work on at a time?
Mr Stock replied to MrBuick's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Normally 2-3 at any one time, at the moment I have a stock Lindberg Dodge A100, Revell 70 Torino GT and a Johan 68 Caddy convertible resto on the go. -
Thats ironic, I almost nearly put a bid on this one, but i checked the bank balance first............and that was that !!

Changes at Model Cars Magazine
Mr Stock replied to Gregg's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
A big thankyou to Greg for getting the magazine onto Magzter, finally after a long time I can read the magazine in the UK. -
Tommy its an MPC 67 Charger, I had a very lucky find in that I had a hood for this exact model in my spares stash from somewhere....very lucky. That Torino is a very nice kit in itself, Im building one of those at the moment.

Beautiful work as always Steve, I watched your progress on this one and you never dissapoint. I also have a glue bome one of these for restoration at some point. I've managed to gather enough parts apart from that chrome Monaco script in the tailight, Im missing that piece. My body also has some rather deep sink marks at the front of the fenders did yours have these?.

Well I love glue bombs and rescuing old builtups, managed to get this boxfull for a very good price a few days ago. All were built between 1965-67 by the same young chap here in the UK, he brush painted everything in a kaleidescope of colours, and man did he use a lot of tube glue!! There's a couple of rarer bits here, an original AMT Ala Kart, an AMT 64 Tempest convertible and a Johan 65 Chrysler 300

Murphy's Law As Applied To Modeling
Mr Stock replied to oldcarfan's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You save up for ages to order a bunch of parts from Modelhaus for a load of projects you have, and they shut the website.......... (Its ok I know the reasons why, and I will be patient) -
I quite like this kit, it shows its age in places but makes a nice shelf piece. I built this one last year, I did swap those wide whites for narrow whitelines after I took the photos

Here's my take on this great kit. I built this one as a brand new factory fresh pickup, ordered in Wimbledon white with the painted grille and bumpers instead of chrome and of course that sweet straight six motor. The kit went together very well there are a couple of errors in the instructions, the cross member that fixes to the underside of the interior floor needs to be glued on the opposite way to the instructions, and the side marker lamps on the bedside need the holes drilled for the fixing pins before painting. Like a lot of others who have built this model I struggled with fitting the glass, the windshield was tricky to say the least. But here she is, comments and criticisms welcomed.

Michael that's very true, the UK is pretty small compared to other country's but we have a huge amount of different regional accents. You can be 20 miles from a different county and the accents are totally different. To get an idea of the Cornish accent you'll have to search youtube. Even us Brits struggle comprehending each other sometimes, the Geordies and Scousers (Newcastle and Liverpool) are particularly difficult for me to understand.

These annoy me Roll with the punches ...... Can I get ..... (instead of can I have?, when ordering something) OMG ........ Prolly ....... its probably not prolly You da man ......... hate this saying! And not so much a phrase i suppose but when a new kit is announced the whole "Oh Im gonna get me 2,3,4 cases of these" That really bugs me As for regional dialect, I'm from Cornwall in the UK and we have a lot of our own words and sayings down here, some would make you laugh. Most would really annoy people. One being " Drekly" which stems from directly, but in our usage means it will get done later on as in "I'll fix that drekly".
