  1. Good point, Nick! Thanks for pointing that out. Because I've been so involved in Goodguys for so long, it hadn't even occurred to me that someone might think you could only enter if you were a Goodguys member.
  2. Yeah, well, see you at Goodguys this coming weekend ... right? Bring all your built models!
  3. Oh give me a break! Whatever made you think that had anything to do with you?
  4. Just a few days away! See you there.
  5. Saturday, March 17, 8-1/2am to 1-1/2pm, at the Postal Workers Social Hall, 3720 W. Greenway Road, Phoenix ... same place as DSC 8. Admission is $3. Certain people may not be granted admission.

  7. The cars you have depicted are all different years and models. The first one looks like a Bonneville-ish front end (split grille). The second one looks like a later (than '80) Caprice front end. The third one is an earlier ('72 to '77-ish) Monte Carlo. But, don't forget that NASCAR bodies ... even back then ... take liberties with the actual production styling. Now having said all that, there was a resin '80 Caprice NASCAR body produced ... by Chimneyville (their Number 1801). It looks very much like a model year between your first two pictures, as it has the parking lights/signals in the bumper and the front fenders extend fully forward without the wrap-around parking/signal/marker lights displayed in the second picture. = Answer man, Jim!
  8. I'd love to do something ... anything ... in Vegas that would get me in trouble anywhere, but I'm too old and too boring to get in any trouble anywhere. Like my good friend Toby (Keith) says ... I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm (usually) as good once as I've ever been. Now, back in the day ... no, we ain't goin' there. The statutes have limited out on most of that old stuff ... but maybe not all. = They's a bunch o' irony in this 'un, Jim!
  9. So, where does that sideways "G" come from? When I first saw one, I thought it indicated the guy was a member of the Agent G Sideways Fan Club. But, I've seen quite a few ... and G doesn't use it! So now I just don't know ... = That's curiousity, Jim.
  10. Not at all how I pictured you, Zoli. Who's the guy on the right? - That's really funny humor, Jim!
  11. Well, the TMAC Toy Show on Sunday is a swap meet only. If it's a SHOW you're looking for ... there are two upcoming Contest/Show Events here: Next weekend, March 9-10-11 is Goodguys 3rd Spring Nationals ... a for-real contest/show. It's in Scottsdale. Next month, April 21 is Desert Scale Classic 8 ... a for-real contest/show with swap meet, too. It's in NW Phoenix.
  12. It's the TMAC Toy Show (Swap Meet) ... no contest involved.
  13. Bottom line is you need to check with Revell. It's their contest, their rules. Anybody else's opinion or rules from any other contest just won't matter. - And that's the truth!
  14. I'll be there, too ... but Albert won't. Dangit. I'll be amongst a contingent from Moonlight Modelers making the trek caravan-style. See y'all Sunday! - That ain't humor, Jim, that's a promise!

  17. This one's for G. That's more humor, Jim.
  18. Okay, my username is another tough one. I was a cop. My name was Dan. The jailers always thought it was funny to say "Book'em Danno" every time I brought in a client for complimentary overnight (or extended) accomodations. And, I never escaped the "Book'em Danno" line from every amateur comedian I ever met. Including our gracious host, who still to this day delights in rolling that one out every time he sees me! But, it's okay ... that show was HUGE in its first run and the remake currently airing is HUGE as well. The Danno character is important, integral, admirable and there are a lot worse characters one could be compared to. So, 'Danno' has stuck. Good thing we're not going into past usernames! Oh, yeah ... the avatar. I discovered that funny little cartoony cactus not long back while surfin' da net. It just seemed appropriate. Sheriff Saguaro of the high Sonoran Desert. It'll change someday, but for now ... we're having fun! = Cool thread, cool post, cool dude, Jim.
  19. This topic is right up my alley! I have nothing. (Humor) Seriously, I'd go with Art and Jim. What a great pair of resources on this vehicle! Actual pictures of the real deal. Doesn't get any better than that! B) = Way big Approval.
  20. Danno

    Grease !

    Kewl. = Kewl.
  21. Way too kewl for skewl, Brad! Love the pickemup. Don't know how I missed this thread before, but I'm catching up.
