From the Imperial Club website, here is an interesting variation created by Derham when the car was new. I have to admit, though, that the four door hardtop is a better looking car. But I still look forward to a resin LeBaron pillared six window sedan.

This is absurd. Nobody will post information about this seller, just casually mention his name or seven layer encrypted photos on his facebook page. I have tried every way I can and cannot get information. No pictures, no price list, no nothing. I don't think Modelhaus has much to worry about if this mystery caster remains as well hidden as he has from me. It is infuriating for people to post something they have acquired and then be unwilling or unable to provide sources. But at least now I know the apparent products are unauthorized duplicates and will not buy anyway.

It would help to know the manufacturer. Perhaps I can find one in the secondary market if I know who made it. Also, any chance the same supplier offers a 1956 Sport Sedan?

This looks amazing! I can hardly believe I am looking at an accurate scale replica of the Crown Vic. So many attempts have been made over the years and none have come close on accuracy. Best of luck with the continuation of this project.

This is how Suburbans are supposed to look. EDIT: It is MY opinion that Suburbans should have four doors and long wheelbases. This is a modified image. I added the rear doors and adjusted the wheelbase.

This website features a lengthy thread on building a 1/6 scale 1977 Cadillac as used in the Breaking Bad television series. That size is nowhere near as impressive as 1/6, but it it significantly less expensive. If you are looking for compatibility with 12 inch action figures, you are starting on a momentous journey. The Bronco is interesting and unexpected. Should make creating the elusive first generation Expedition much easier than starting from scratch.

What is with the white overspray on the side windows of the real car? Did that have significance in the film?

You have done an amazingly similar thing to what Superior did to build the real cars in the odd 1964 and 1965 model years when the commercial chassis still used the wraparound windshield from 1959. Everything in the middle (door skins, door frames) is interchangeable from 1959 to 1965 on cars built by the same company. I like how your two colors of plastic demonstrate that procedure. But unless the Polar Lights kit is wrong, and I have never thought it to be, door lengths remain the same. Don't shorten until you have really good reference. The Crown Vic looks great. I look forward to kit availability. My vote for your next masterpiece is the 1976 - 1977 Pontiac LeMans. After that I would like to see the 1979 Dodge St. Regis / 1980 Plymouth Gran Fury.

A modern built modern Duesenberg! Awesome. I have long admired that series from Renwal but have always been too undecided about wheel solutions. I don't care for the simplistic wires they came with. I did a couple of quick and easy mods with my very limited photo manipulation skills and came up with this. Body color wheel discs cover the wires and leave the center cap. And that mess over the side pipe had to go. Darkening the chassis pieces underneath the side pipes could also help. Maybe even a set of modern large diameter chrome wheels and low profile tires could bring things together. The Duesenberg has the most potential to be modernized in my view.
