I flagged this for Tech Support (Dave). Could be on our end or it could be an issue with Apple. Can you link a post so i can see if it shows the same for me?

I have been thinking about getting back into racing RC cars. Looks like the 1/8 scale on-Road nitro racing that I used to do is all but dead, as does most On-Road racing in this area. Never raced Off-Road, but there are some tracks in the area, indoor and outdoor dirt. Looking for advice on what to get, starting over from scratch and will be running electric. What kit, radio, motor, etc would you recommended. Not a beginner, so willing to get decent gear. I know I will get a variety of answers, but will also be doing some research based on those answers. Thanks.

That is oddly satisfying.

When can we expect to see issue 226
Xingu replied to bobthehobbyguy's topic in Model Cars Magazine News and Discussions
I am not part of the magazine staff, but my personal opinion is that they should not make any posts of when the magazine is going to the printer or being mailed. I like being surprised when it shows up. Give people information they will use it for good and evil. We do allow criticism of the magazine here, which I also don’t think we should do, but some take it to far and do it too often. It is kind of like trolling, which is against the forum rules. -

Since the update, all of my notifications have been going to my spam folder. -

When can we expect to see issue 226
Xingu replied to bobthehobbyguy's topic in Model Cars Magazine News and Discussions
The subscription is for the number of issues, not the timeframe. They do try to get the magazine out bi-monthly, or as close as possible. We expect to get posts like this every 8-10 weeks. -
What did you see on the road today?
Xingu replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Please remember that we have a separate section for car show and museum photos. This thread is for cars you see out in the wild. -
Unfortunately, if you mention EV this is what we always get here. EV will be semi-normal in about a decade, just when the hydrogen fuel cell cars start to really hit the market. I guess then we will complain about the roads always being damp.

I removed the post that was hijacking the thread. Please remember not to post a bunch of your own photos in someone else's thread, unless they ask for them. You can always send the member a direct message if you want to share your build with them. You can also start your own thread, we always like to see the new content, in the appropriate place.

Tamiya spray cans banned in Canada!!!
Xingu replied to Bullybeef's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
There is probably a legitimate reason for the ban and unfortunately the model paint industry and it's likely less than 1% market share are caught up in it. Until it it gets worked out, you can always go back to brush painting. Just a reminder to not make political statements about this. You won't have anything to do on your 30 day ban, since you can't spray any models. -
This will be the one and only warning for this thread. Be VERY careful with how you word your opinion/comment. All the other EV threads seem to turn political or heated very soon after they are started. Members have been given 30 day vacations over their EV comments.

Setting to turn off thumbnail images in post listings?
Xingu replied to Matt Bacon's topic in How To Use This Board
I couldn't find one on the user level. Not sure if there is one on the server side. If there is, I would think it is global and would be in place for everyone. Dave may have some more insight on this. -
What is your Favourite Classic Car?
Xingu replied to Falcon Ranchero's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
One of my old bosses has several, but I don't think he has a blue one. -
Lets throw this off on a different tangent. I wonder how often these companies change their formulas without telling the consumers that they did so. I would guess that the EPA has gotten involved with aerosol paint once or twice in the last 50 years and mandated 'safer' components.

When will we be seeing issue 225
Xingu replied to bobthehobbyguy's topic in Model Cars Magazine News and Discussions
Even though it says 2-Years 12 issues, you are paying for the number of issues, not the time limit. You would get 12 issues whether it took 12 weeks, 12 months, 24 months or 30 months. -
A new model car magazine
Xingu replied to bobthehobbyguy's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Good luck with the magazine Scott. -
Forum website has been sluggish for the last few days
Xingu replied to peteski's topic in How To Use This Board
This has nothing to do with the new server, since we never migrated to it as there were problems with the transfer. This is an internal problem that Dave is trying to track down. Sometimes, it is like finding a needle in a haystack. Be patient. Go build something. -
It seems to be working fine for me. @Dave Ambrose can take a look to see if anything is off on our end.

Send @Dave Ambrose a message and ss if your sub started with this issue or the next.

There is a minimum post count that must be met before moderation is removed. I usually get to the posts earlier on the weekends, but was away from my computer all weekend. They are typically approved quicker.
-
Sorry to see you go. Unfortunately, the minor inconvenience that moderation causes you helps to provide a safer, more secure site for all the other members. Given the types of things that moderation has allowed us to catch before posts were made viewable to the members has shown that it is an invaluable tool for us. We do not like having to approve all of the posts, but the the amount of spam and adult oriented material that we catch daily shows that it will not be going anywhere anytime soon.

I will flag this so Dave can double check if there is anything on our end that is off.
