  1. Really sharp looking!
  2. Well, I finished it a few days ago. I used that new Molotow liquid chrome on it too. I used real tape over the headlights instead of the decals.
  3. Way cool. I didn't know there was a model kit from any cars from that movie. I'm looking forward to the sequel. I have the director's cut DVD of the original.
  4. I went ahead and fixed it just because it was annoying me. I had missed the hole between the pedals and I didn't glue the chassis into the body anyway. So I just popped it out and fixed it. My kit doesn't have that bottom pan in it (E14).
  5. I mounted the steering wheel as per the kit instructions. I just put the body on it and it does fit, but the steering wheel is right up against the windshield.
  6. Further progress on the Mini. The chassis assembly is now complete although I think I should add seat belts before I install it into the body. By the way I'm using a new product that has become "all the rage" for us model builders, the Molotow chrome paint markers. The stick shift, steering wheel, velocity stacks, interior chrome trim and the chrome on the body:
  7. You did a great job and made something out of junk anyway.
  8. Pretty cool looking rod!
  9. Here's the box art: Here's the engine, installed in the chassis and the underside:
  10. Cool build.
  11. I liked Mannix too! When I was a kid I saw that Toronado at the NY auto show. But I don't remember it from the TV series. He always had Mopars.
  12. That's pretty unique. It has it's own version of "Mr. Fusion".
  13. I like King Crimson too. Especially "In The Court of The Crimson King", "Red" and "Starless and Bible Black". He was also in "The Two Sides of Peter Banks", another great album. Peter Banks is deceased too.
  14. Beautiful, clean build.
  15. You did a real fine job!
  16. Looks pretty good!
  17. My first new car out of college was a '77 Datsun 280Z. I lived on Long Island, NY. I managed to keep it pretty rust free compared to most of them but I still got some body rot on the rocker panels. In fact I put those panels on the bottom to cover it up after I repaired it.
  18. Nice build! But with that rust perhaps you should put on plates from snow belt states instead of CA.
  19. I saw the movie. It was great as it was portrayed very accurately.
  20. Looks really cool!
  21. Very nice builds! I like the weathering too. It looks like all you had to do was dry brush it too.
  22. That is one totally awesome, flawless build!
  23. Beautiful build! That's paint is flawless. Looks 1:1.
