It's gonna be really tough to choose between all these Great Movie Cars!
  2. I like seeing unconventional raw materials being used on models. It reminds me of the early days of modeling... we used whatever we could to get the point across.
  3. I was about to say that too... I thought more folks would be interested. It's not really a leap of faith, your getting what you give accentually... For me the mystery and suspense of what it will become is the appeal.
  4. Wow that's pretty! And I think 4X4 with duel wheels is the way to go!
  5. This reminds me of the car from 11.22.63 This one is a 58 Sunliner, so there's some differences between the Fairlane but I wonder if anyone does a kit of this... I'd like to build the convertible. https://www.imcdb.org/v887962.html
  6. Gonna look sweet with a Gloss Black paint job it already looks like the movie truck by the way it's sitting... This is the Truck I want when The apocalypse happens, Nothing would stop this beast! My favorite scene is when they blow up the tanker... quick fact... before production, originally Louise's car was 65 Impala...but somehow it wound up being the 66 T-bird.

Lunajammer - Road House Buick Riviera Once again I've updated the Roster... With each update I'm more and more excited to see the participants showing up... We're seeing some Spectacular builds coming together... And I'm very honored to be a part of such an Awesome group of modelers...
  8. Awesome to see the Nova and Crown Vic trans kits make the Scale Auto magizine... I thought it was worthy of reporting here for anyone interested. I think it's Great Advertising. I hope they will have success with these and all other castings they have...
  9. That's Great! I was thinking at first glance it was the Drive Angry Buick, which would make some good kits too... some really cool cars in that movie... as for the film itself, No Comment ? ... Road House is my buddy's favorite movie.
  10. Sounds good! this will give me a jump start too. I've been pre-occupied for awhile... This will help get me back in the swing of things... I have a club challenge to get to also... And a memorial build that needs to be finished by March.
  11. Great selection... I believe these two are the same truck... With different details grill, lightbar etc...and it is a long bed but that's an easy fix, Just cut the front off one bed and glue it to the front of another, body work is fairly easy on this body style.
  12. There's been one of those 50 Olds Customs on the shelf at my local Hobby shop I know for at least a year... I thought about buying it numous times I'm gonna get it next time I go... if it's still there Lol I have the 57 Ranch Wagon though. No real plans for it either. The rest of those kits I could get no problem. I have a buddy who has around 6,000 kits in his basement. Plus my town is headquarters to Model car Mountain, if you ever shopped eBay yo probably heard of it... Matt's a good friend of mine... makes 6 figures a year salary from selling models in the eBay store...
  13. Sounds fun! I've seen simular Community builds like this before. I've been known for pre-detailing and gifting kits to my non-modeler friends just to see how they turn out... (All they have to do is glue it) I give them tips and encourage them to squirt glue onto a flat surface and use a toothpick to apply it to the model... with some good results too. I'd split a kit with ya... Pick a kit and I'll see if I have it or can get it. BTW...My decals arrived, Thanks again!
  14. ? Is it the Monte Carlo from F&F Toyko Drift? Lol... I like guessing but I'm stumped on the hero car and second-banana cars... too many choices... I had a tough time deciding which one I wanted to build myself... I even had the idea to build the yellow Chevelle from King Of The Road starring a young Brad Pitt, one of his first roles. Also from the same HBO film, the black 57 Chevy Gasser... both are cool and would leave some folks guessing.?
  15. "figure out with end to put the engine." Up front would be Awesome...? Really cool projects and the "Twist" is making it interesting to see where everyone goes with it...?
  16. Upon further inspection, the custon wheels found in the Monte Carlo kit aren't as close a match as I originally thought. I do believe the Borrani wheels are aluminum though, right? ?
  17. Yes Sir ? You're in ...
  18. Sure!!! and the 1:24 Monogram Monte Carlo has wheels similar to those on the car?
  19. I say... Mirrors? Who needs mirrors? lol ? if it has a rear view camera, that would serve as a mirror? On the other hand, judging by most the entries, I don't think anyone else will mind if it is slightly off the ”As Screen used” version... Back when we discussed the theme, someone thought the "Twist" rule should be added to give the movie car more flavor... and to add performance to help win an actual CBR. (I loved the idea). The cool thing about the rule is it's entirely optional and your choice to use it or not... Following that description , I'd say it's up to your discretion.
  20. I have a feeling that once the mail runs we'll see more builds off and running. ? If only half the projects get finished it will still be a great run...?? I think we'll see even more adding to the Roster as the year continues on too. You're inspiring me to get moving for sure! ?
  21. 22. Dang, I should've thought of that ? lol... instead, I used thin pinstripe tape but It lifted.
  23. Thanks... I did the best I could with what I had to work with. I'm gonna build my own, starting from scratch with a virgin kit... I'll definitely refer back to yours. The level of dedication shows in your work. I tried to save the drip rails and the bodyline under the windows but they were sanded smooth in some places. If Trevor ever finishes it I'll post some pics... He was gonna use a diesel engine and duel wheels. I painted it as a Preditor special edition... (Like the Transformers Camaro or the Bullitt Mustang)... Here's the hood with the Preditor logo... Looking back, I think a two tone paint scheme is the way to go.
  24. I sent it back to Trevor... He hasn't worked on it lately that I know of... I worked out the body, painted and polished it. Here is how it looked when I was finished it.
  25. Excellent progress! you keep this up and you'll be finished before most of us even get started... ?
