Can you fuse two cars together?

I'm currently working on this conversion: It's an AMT '67 Cougar, with the fastback roof section from an AMT '68 Shelby Mustang. SO far, so good!! -
Can you fuse two cars together?

Yessir, it can be done: This is an AMT '62 Impala convertible body, converted with an AMT '65 ElCamino bed, with a Monogram '58 Thunderbird roof reworked to fit. Careful planning, and checking, and planning again, and then test, test, test, before doing a conversion. The results will be more pleasing that way! -
An absolute beauty of an "A" body MOPAR!! Everything is spot on!!

"Holy Grail" Models?
Bucky replied to Billy Kingsley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I could truly make a list a mile long! LOL One kit close to the top would be an MPC 1972 Plymouth Road Runner. -
"Holy Grail" Models?
Bucky replied to Billy Kingsley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'd love to have one of these, among many other kits from the past. I have several other Renwal kits, but this one seems a bit harder to find at my kind of price!! -
That is a super sharp Cougar! The blue looks perfect for the body lines of that one!!

AMT, Original hot rod kits, engine options
Bucky replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You guys are probably correct. The kit I'm referring to was issued in 1991. Kit number 6815. It has a pic of the engine on the side panel, and calls it a 440. Also, the description on the other side panel about the kit calls it a 440. -
Returning to the hobby, totally new to cars

Welcome, bro! Lots of great stuff to see here! And you should be able to find a great deal of info that will help in building those car models! -
AMT, Original hot rod kits, engine options

The AMT '49 Mercury had a nice MOPAR 440 Cross Ram mill. I used it in an AMT issue of the Dodge Li'l Red Truck kit. -
Very cool! The wheels look great, and the colors are right! Well done! It reminds me of a friend of mine, years ago, who bought a decommissioned state trooper Plymouth, and took it to the drag strip on Saturday nights! He won some money with that black bomber!!

I've done the same thing, Gary! I recently re-discovered my membership here! Real life threw me a definite curve for a while, but I'm back at the bench, and having a blast! I'm looking forward to seeing that big Camaro!!

I think that may be due to individual store management, as the HL near me doesn't do things that way. Once they hit the sale table, from there they go to clearance with an even lower price. I've been guilty in the past of not grabbing something when I should have. Usually, though, it's because somebody else gets before I can get back!

Such a nice, clean build!! Very cool wagon! I'd drive one of these around my hometown!!

Yessir, I found mine for $47.00 with free shipping. A lot of parts in that box, too!
-
There certainly is a market on my work bench for a new Dodge Ram kit!!
-
MENG has a nice F-350 Super Duty on the market. A bit pricey, at $79.00 a pop, unless you find it on sale somewhere.

eBay can be a BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH shoot. Sure, prices can be reasonable, but then, some of the shipping charges negate any savings. I always wanted to shop the local hobby shops, but those shops are not so "local", anymore. I hope to see more new tooling in the near future, as I already have a number of the "same kit in different boxes" issues! LOL

Is it the same Jeepster that came in the old Autoscape kit? The one with a plastic base, and cardboard background for display purposes?
-
I never knew that about the '72 Chevelle until just now! I built the version with the correct grille, but it had molded in headlights. It must have been the MPC issue. I checked the grill in the 2002 AMT issue just a minute ago, and am quite disappointed!

How about this Plymouth (Dodge) Duster (Dart)?

1/25 Revell '67 Dodge Coronet- Foose Edition
Bucky replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I know this is old news, but I believe the reason Revell chose the 67 R/T is because that was the first year for the R/T option. Same with the Plymouth GTX. I just cracked open one of these R/T kits, and found bad chrome on the front bumper, and decals that are out of resister. A little heads up for anybody that hasn't already worked with one of these Dodges. I prbably won't build it as a FOOSE version, anyway! -
History of Monogram's Squarebody GM Pickups
Bucky replied to Fabrux's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
This has been a fscinating topic! I never realized there were that many General Motors truck kits available. I myself have the recent issue of the Chevy stepside, an original Blazer, and an original Jimmy. I just acquired an original GMC Sport Pickup from Ebay that hasn't arrived, yet. Would a rear differential from one Monogram's GM van kits be accurate for the rear ends in question, here? -
We don't see many notchback Cudas in model building or 1:1. It's nice to see one that looks this good, and I'm talking about the model and the 1:1! (Have I made any sense?) I'll go sit down, now! BTW: Great job on the wicked li'l blue Cuda!!

Very sharp!!! Could this be the predecessor to the XLR?
