You guys are probably correct. The kit I'm referring to was issued in 1991. Kit number 6815. It has a pic of the engine on the side panel, and calls it a 440. Also, the description on the other side panel about the kit calls it a 440.

The AMT '49 Mercury had a nice MOPAR 440 Cross Ram mill. I used it in an AMT issue of the Dodge Li'l Red Truck kit.

I've done the same thing, Gary! I recently re-discovered my membership here! Real life threw me a definite curve for a while, but I'm back at the bench, and having a blast! I'm looking forward to seeing that big Camaro!!

I think that may be due to individual store management, as the HL near me doesn't do things that way. Once they hit the sale table, from there they go to clearance with an even lower price. I've been guilty in the past of not grabbing something when I should have. Usually, though, it's because somebody else gets before I can get back!

eBay can be a BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH shoot. Sure, prices can be reasonable, but then, some of the shipping charges negate any savings. I always wanted to shop the local hobby shops, but those shops are not so "local", anymore. I hope to see more new tooling in the near future, as I already have a number of the "same kit in different boxes" issues! LOL

Is it the same Jeepster that came in the old Autoscape kit? The one with a plastic base, and cardboard background for display purposes?

I never knew that about the '72 Chevelle until just now! I built the version with the correct grille, but it had molded in headlights. It must have been the MPC issue. I checked the grill in the 2002 AMT issue just a minute ago, and am quite disappointed!

How about this Plymouth (Dodge) Duster (Dart)?

I know this is old news, but I believe the reason Revell chose the 67 R/T is because that was the first year for the R/T option. Same with the Plymouth GTX. I just cracked open one of these R/T kits, and found bad chrome on the front bumper, and decals that are out of resister. A little heads up for anybody that hasn't already worked with one of these Dodges. I prbably won't build it as a FOOSE version, anyway!

This has been a fscinating topic! I never realized there were that many General Motors truck kits available. I myself have the recent issue of the Chevy stepside, an original Blazer, and an original Jimmy. I just acquired an original GMC Sport Pickup from Ebay that hasn't arrived, yet. Would a rear differential from one Monogram's GM van kits be accurate for the rear ends in question, here?

We don't see many notchback Cudas in model building or 1:1. It's nice to see one that looks this good, and I'm talking about the model and the 1:1! (Have I made any sense?) I'll go sit down, now! BTW: Great job on the wicked li'l blue Cuda!!

This is a nice looking Javelin. One of my favorite body styles! You picked a great color and the white stripe is the perfect accent!!

This is a very nice project! Ya gonna run a six banger in it? For the interior, I'd go with a similar color to the body, as a lot of cars that came out of the factory back then had interiors that closely matched the outside. Other than that, you might go with an off-white color!
