  1. The problem I've had with the Monogram kits is the swirl marks that are often present in the plastic. Must be something with the mold process.
  2. DITTO!!
  3. Here are a couple; These have a metallic plastic, but not as pronounced as the flake in the old REVELL kits.
  4. That Black Cherry is a standout color. Amazing!
  5. Nicely done! What's the color on this one? It's sharp!
  6. I wonder if the metalflake changes the characteristics of the plastic? Would it be more brittle?
  7. The metalflake on mine is not evenly distributed, so I would end up painting the outside, anyway!
  8. What do you guys think about these kits? This is not mine. I borrowed this pic from WWW. I have a Newport convertible kit. I'm just wondering what the opinion is about these ancient kits.
  9. These markings look like hieroglyphics: Didja have them translated before yer rebuild? HAHAHA This has to be one of my fave builds of the old AMT kit. I always thought of this body style of Riv as more of a muscle car than a personal luxury car. Those Rivs came in '66 and later. WELL DONE, BRO!!
  10. I always liked this body style on the Torino. This is a beauty of a build! The front grille looks great!
  11. Thanks!
  12. Which clear coat did you use on this one?
  13. Challenger Diamante: http://moparwiki.com/index.php/1970_Dodge_Diamante_Show_Car
  14. I had a pal in the late 70's who owned a 427 '68 Camaro. Tuff car! He lined up at a red light against a buddy of his who was in a VEGA hatch with a 350 in it. Light turned green...they launched...cop saw them...my pal in the Camaro got the ticket, because the cop got to him, first!
  15. Ultimate sleeper!
  16. That's a cool Charger, I just don't like the cut down windscreen. Just my opinion, tho! LOL
  17. Do you put a clear coat on top of it?
  18. WOW!!!! That blue is something else!! I have a can of Candy Blue Razz...looking forward to using it on a custom, now that I know what it will look like on a model. This is one of your best builds, yet! Keep 'em coming!!!
  19. I drove one like this from Nashville to New Orleans back in 1980. Of course, all the doors and hatches were closed! It was 8 years old. It rained really hard somewhere in Mississippi, and the front floorboards (and my shoes) filled up with water. I had to stop and bail out the water!!
