  1. I went this morning, smaller show, but they had a few interesting trucks and got to talk to some folks I haven't seen in a while.
  2. !940's and 50's. Just found the dragline version to go with it! I've seen one or two at antique equipment shows. Love watching the old cable jobs work though not many people left that know how to run them.
  3. Made up some rear fenders last night, wrapped a piece of flat stock around a socket, secured with tie-wraps and let it cook in some hot water followed by a cold bath to set the shape.
  4. Found this mint in box 1/25 scale Bantam at a truck show last weekend. Will make a good load for the lowboy. Not sure if I want to take the wrap off the tracks.....
  5. I've used PBase for almost 20 years for photos.
  6. Does anyone know anything about the subject truck show? Held at Barnes Airport in Westfield, MA, I don't recall seeing it before, and I know I've never been. It's coming up next Sunday and if it's anything like the Bay State show in Worcester this past Sunday, I'll make a point of adding it to the calendar.
  7. I found this on flea bay for under $20. They are out there and for the price I took a shot. I had the same questions you all have, just stupid enough to part with $20 to satisfy my curiosity!! The packer body is quite good once you remove the add-on custom stuff. I still have rear fenders to fab and some details like steps and lights (minimal considering the date).
  8. Progress is slow, but this is a mock up. Still lots to do, but I'm happy with the cab choice, it's keeping with the look of the Mack. I got the wheels from Jimmy Flintstone. Rears will be duals.
  9. Built about 35-40 years ago, Testor's rattle cans and I did use aluminum tubing for the stacks. AMT Pete COE.
  10. Casey is correct, Uniroyal 11x22's.
  11. Thanks, I actually have a copy of the new release, just been too busy to open it.
  12. Just curious if anyone has tried this: https://www.micromark.com/Wondercutter
  13. Blue Jacket has ship castings but I don't think they are much cheaper than the 3D prints. Micro Mark also has a few items.
  14. Thanks Charles, looks good!
  15. Thanks, looks like that will do the trick. Just have to figure out the size. Oh, and you're right, they are not cheap!
  16. Looking for a source of lug nuts with studs, 1/25 scale for a smaller truck. Thanks
  17. Could do that too. That's what the 41 Chevy is. It's the size for a Ford F350-650, we have one at work. I'm looking for an older look so I'm going with the 41.
  18. Thanks I think I have the wheels figured out. Something about me doesn't like to take something whole and break it down into parts.
