  1. If you are hauling pigs or chickens, it gets you farther away from the smell!
  2. Glad I searched this out, just tried to update my build thread title and thought I was nuts. Win 10 has been forcing updates all week, thought Mickey Soft was behind it.
  3. Progress on the cab, glass is in and details are being added. I put fender flares on as the tires were sticking out a little past the stock fenders. Cab lights, horn, wipers and mirrors are left. Stack should finish this one. Chassis is done, ended up adding a tank for the hydraulic oil. Then I can start the light weathering I have planned.
  4. Just to get some of you drooling, there is this little gem:
  5. Love it! A good friend used to drive coast to coast twice a week hauling swinging meat! (team driver, not by himself!)
  6. Thanks again, yes, I think the Dodge Lindberg kit is probably the best. It does have square fuel tanks, so if you like the round tanks, you'll have to adapt. You'll want to raise the front suspension, the Dodge has way too much rake. The interior isn't bad, just shave the sides a bit and it'll fit right in.
  7. This sounds like good news!
  8. Thanks, the yellow looks a tad greenish in the pics, it's supposed to be a pale yellow. I'll have to fix that in the next set of pics.
  9. I've been working on the tank, to be honest the cab is ready for windows and I really hate doing windows for resin kits. The last 2 were ok, windshields were flat. This one has a curve at each outer edge, two separate panels. So, the tank has got the attention and is almost done, as is the chassis. The nozzles still need diffusers and I'll probably think of a few more things.
  10. I like the idea of a Mack B81 or Autocar for a hauler. The KFS lowboy would look good, too!
  11. Great job! I love those Mack B8x's.
  12. Just lock yourself in a room for a weekend!
  13. Yes, the wood block holding the back of the cab up is in the way, the stock cab support hadn't been removed at that point. I mentioned that in the description. Tank is now very close to the cab which puts it's center of gravity just forward of the middle of rear axles where it belongs. I have to leave just enough room for the exhaust stack to fit in between. Thankfully the tank end is convex which will help.
  14. Have color on the cab and tank. I've applied a lighter shade of the base color to the upper surfaces to try to show some age/chalking. I'll be giving the same treatment with the gloss, the upper surfaces have dulled out in the sun while under surfaces retain their glossy look. The gloss on the side of the tank is temporary base for decals. When the decals set up, I'll hit it with flat finish. I'll also be adding dirt/dust once it's all together. Not a heavy weathering, just a light dusting.
  15. They made 4, the Backhoe, Shovel, Dragline and Salvage crane with the 3 attachments. Numbers are CON 001,002, 003 and 004. The dragline is 003, crane is 004. I think the shovel is 002, backhoe 001. In 1/25 scale. Had different offerings in 1/50 including some truck mounted.
  16. Ok, you win! LOL! The Bantam Crane seems to be the hardest to find, I missed the last one that came up; that was about a month ago, maybe more. The backhoe and shovel seem the most common though I like the dragline!
  17. Ok, you've got a fair number of loads. I've got 3 of the Bantams, just scored the 4th. Can't say I've seen the orange dozer before.
  18. Interesting idea. Are you planning on stretching the frame? IIRC, the Mack has a shortish wheelbase.
  19. When I get done with my water wagon, I'll be needing a lowboy to haul it between construction sites! You up for a rental??? I'll need to get my A-Car DK built first........LOL!
  20. Update, the chassis is more or less done, the pump was fabbed and added, I have to do the piping to the front. Pump runs off a hydraulic motor, hydraulic pump is up front, about where it was on the mixer. Tank is in color, as is the cab. Interior to go along with cab accessories.
  21. I like the grimy black, just can't get it anymore (at least not the original Pollyscale). MicroMark has a knock off that isn't too bad.
  22. Looks great, I've got some diecast construction equipment that needs transport!
  23. Thanks for all the compliments!
