  1. Outstanding job!!!! Gives me some ideas for a couple of the ones I have left over..... DJ
  2. Great job on the "overhaul"!!!! Looks FANTASTIC!!!! DJ
  3. Now please let me start by saying that KERRY's method (mentioned above) is BY FAR the more "correct way" to keep it straight while drying, but...… One of the guys that used to belong to our local hobby club used to heat the warped frame rails over the stove top, cool with water, glue together, then placed a brick on top to keep it straight while drying...... I can't be the one to criticize him..... his old stuff always seemed to have a straight frame!!!! DJ
  4. 100% with what Jeff said..... judging from the size of the dump-bed in the picture, looks like the one from the Louisville kit would be closest.... and yes, those that Dave casts are really nice units.... If you do decide to use one from the Paystar 5000 (and don't have one) holler at me. DJ
  5. Great looking old Pete!!!! What engine did you use??? DJ
  6. Have to agree...… These "snap" kits have all kinds of potential, are only as complex as YOU choose to make them, and, if you dig around thru the MANY builds in the "Under Glass" section, you'll see what some of the forum's great builders have done with these!!!! (Not to mention, if you have a Hobby Lobby close by, you can save 40%!!!!!) DJ
  7. Really like this particular B-model.... And the rare V-12 powered version is just WAY COOL!!! DJ
  8. Good lookin' old War-horse!!!! Great job!!!!! DJ
  9. Really like all the detail work, especially the "smoked up" side of the rig!!!! DJ
  10. Great job!!! Always special to see a replica of a real one, especially when there is a back-story.... DJ
  11. Great looking build!!! Which engine did you use??? DJ
  12. Wild Ride!!!! Keep up the good work!!! DJ
  13. Really Great bunch of work!!!! DJ
  14. Great Looking "A-Car"!!! Your attention to detail really shows!!!! DJ
  15. Looks like one of the "decked-out" rigs that go flying past on I-20 and I-30!!!!!! Great Job!!!! DJ
  16. That is one BEAUTIFUL build!!! Your attention to detail really shows!!!! DJ
  17. Now that is a cool save!!!! Can't wait to see where it ends up!! DJ
  18. ANDY, There is a thread in the next section (ON THE WORKBENCH) where they are talking about TRAILER RIVETS that may answer what questions you have …… Hope that helps.... DJ
  19. You are more than welcome my friend...……. And they do look good on both trucks!!!! DJ
  20. Been sick the past several days, so just now getting back to the forum...… What a pleasant surprise!!!!! A special T-H-A-N-K-S- to the different ones that helped make this become an easily found tool (like Brian, Jeff, Kerry, Mike, & the moderator that pinned it). And it goes without saying, a VERY SPECIAL T-H-A-N-K----Y-O-U needs to go out to Hakan (FORCE) for all the initial efforts (and follow up efforts) that even made this possible. And, not to forget SAM for remembering to have the engine colors listed added too. VERY VALUABLE TOOL!!! DJ
  21. For those of you who have "lost" the list of "which engines come in which kits" that FORCE had restructured into a "usable" format, it can be found on the 13th page of this category, have tried to just add a comment to it and bring it back into the active topics, but...…. DJ
  22. Great job on the "oldie" Mack!!! DJ
  23. Said perfectly!!! Glad you've had the chance to do that for your dad...... DJ
