  1. Hello again, thank you all for your confidence. Hope the parts came out like you wanted them. An important advice for anybody who hasn´t worked with Frosted Detail parts from shapeways yet. Please be very careful at seperating the parts because this material is brittle and the structures are very thin because of details. Hope this wasn´t too late... Because of Bobby G´s request I´ve done the ´69 GTX grill too. Greets, Rico
  2. Thanks Raoul, hope that the swap will turn out as you want to although your grill isn´t that bad from what I can see on your pics. Did you use the ´68 Roadrunner kit for this build? Hope that the grill will fit this one too. Can´t wait to see it done. Rico
  3. Hey guys, thanks to all of you. @Raoul: I was so sorry that your first order was cancelled. As I told it wasn´t predictable to me. I really appreciate that you ordered again. To all others of you. You can order the parts directly from my shapeways shop (link above). It´s much cheaper for you guys because it will be directly shipped from US. If I would order the parts by myself and send them to you the shipping costs would be out of proportion. Hope that these informations help you to understand why I´ve done it that qay. Best regards, Rico
  4. Hey guys, had a cancelled order for the grills today although my own were printed without any issues. Have to thicken the walls of the grills a little bit. Then I will update the models at shapeways. Please be patient because this wasn´t predictable for me. THX Rico Edit: Reworked the grills today for saver printing. They´re in the shop again...
  5. Hey guys, the headlight lenses are done and the grills with lenses included are now available at my shapeways shop. Here is the link: https://www.shapeways.com/shops/ra-sti-acute-s-scale-accessories Hope the pricing is right because it´s so difficult to decide. Thanks again Rico
  6. Hi guys, great thanks to all of you for your positive comments. Took a look in my stash today but couldn´t find any suitable headlight lens for these. Today I already reworked (shortened a little bit) the indicated lamps for a better fit of the lenses. The lenses I will do tomorrow also for 3d printing. I plan to offer the grills complete with lenses as different sets directly at my shapeways shop. One set will be the GTX grill, one the Roadrunner. I also plan a set of both together. And Bob: The ´69 grill will come. But it still needs some attention. Also the ´68 trunk lid and taillights will come if all goes fine maybe in two weeks. Rico
  7. Hey guys, thank you all for waiting such a long time for the next update. Here it is now. The ´68 grills for the GTX and the Roadrunner arrived today. I´m very pleased with them although there was some filing necessary at the fenders and some scraping at the middle area marked on pic two. My opinion is that the fenders front looks now more realistic then it came with the kit. And if anybody want´s to open the area behind the grill to see the radiator can do this. One thing left... I want to take a look at the weekend because I think the headlight lenses of Revells ´70 Chevelle should fit these grills. Will let you know just in time. Now the first pics of the 3dprinted parts. ENJOY... Pic 1: The grills... as you can see they are open. Pic 2... Filed areas marked Pic 3... GTX grill mounted... (hood is only taped to the body) Pic 4... Roadrunner grill in place Pic 5... Both together again... Hope you like it. Every advice and suggestion is very welcome. Do want the grills reworked to fit the kits frontend without filing or should I let them like they are? Please vote for one of these... It´s your decision. If you all say it´s good like it is I would put the grills into my shop next week. The ´69 GTX grill and the ´68 taillight area will take some time yet. Thanks again and greets, Rico
  8. Yes!!! I´ve been waiting for this question... It was already in my mind but haven´t that time last days. It´s a bit more difficult but I can try to model the taillight area as well. By the way the ´68 grills are both at the printing process. Estimated delivery next weekend. Then I can post the first pics of the real things. Thanks to all for your comments and support. Edit: Compared the 69 with the 68 rear end and noticed that the trunk lid is also different. So I decided to do the complete trunk lid and the taillights. If it´s possible I would prefer to do the trunk lid red reflecting parts separately. We´ll see. Please give me some time to do this all. Updates coming...
  9. If you want this one too, I can do it.
  10. Of course Bill, I will do so. THX for your interest and support.
  11. Hi Bryon, sorry no updates yet but I want to order the grill next weekend. Because I have some other parts that have to be printed it will probably take two weeks for this process. Print will be done at shapeways. If I have the parts here I will show them just in time. THX
  12. Hi Greg, Would also like to have one... PM sent
  13. @gtx6970: THX for the feedback Bill, you´re right again. Reworked it today. @PlymouthFan: THX to you too. Don´t sure about the pricing yet because maybe I have to change something after the testprint again. Here new pics of the reworked one:
  14. THX again Bill, I will have to do a testprint for myself and then I will show more...
  15. @ Curt: Thanks for your words. @gtx6970: Sorry, you´re right it´s a roadrunner... Sometimes google plays with me. Will try to get the right one done anyway. Thanks for this comment because it helps me a lot. Edit: After 3 hours here now the correct one for the 68 GTX...
  16. Like the way you do this. Looking forward to see more of it.
  17. 3d model finished but without lenses.
  18. If you want I can try to model a grill for 3d-printing.
  19. If you need help with these feel free to send me a PM. Done other wheels already. Rico
  20. Hi everyone, if you are interested, my grille from shapeways is already painted. The Taillghts too. @ iamsuperdan: Yes, these parts are brittle but don´t worry, it works.
  21. Hi Gage, really cool project. The Cuda is one of my favourite Muscle Cars ever. I think, I can haelp you with 3D printing. Here are some of the wheels I drawn till now.
