  1. That is gorgeous. You will need to click the link on this one: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1957-porsche-356a-speedster-5/
  2. Thanks. I didn't see the 1:1. You're right, the box is the throttle valve. Interestingly, the cable actuates both the pump and the throttle. The canister seems to be a catch can.
  3. This is looking great as usual. Is that an injection pump close to the oil filter? Also, what is that box on the turbo piping?
  4. Considering Lotus has been using Toyota engines for some time, first on the Elise & Exige and now on the Evora, using a Japanese engine would not be too out of place.
  5. Beautiful model. I love the car from the movie. Does anyone knows what the original engine was?
  6. Such a stunning car. And they outdid themselves with the original Countach.
  7. Great build. How did you fit the engine between the chassis rails with the headers? I tried with my engine, had a huge clash and had to remove them and put the stockers
  8. I find your painting fixture fascinating. But I went further down in cost, reusing a couple of paper roll cores and using blu-tac to hold the body and the bonnet. The paint of your models look smooth and the colours are deep. Well done.
  9. Thanks for that. Looks like a French car from France
  10. Gorgeous. Didn't know these had the spare wheel packaged at the front. The exhaust routing is convoluted with a muffler/resonator in the engine bay. Headlamps are yellow, like a proper French car. Did you tint the lenses or they came like that?
  11. That 'Cuda up there is a seriously cool machine. And now I have a new wallpaper And what better than a whole car to ship a bunch of parts. And to top it off, they sent a BIP - so the racer got the body structure upgrades for the new MY. I wonder why they didn't ship the something straight out from the body shop. I guess they didn't want it to rust. The original owner probably made some coin selling the interior and glass, maybe even the shop guys built a car out of that.
  12. Having myself worked for some years in assembly lines, I can safely say that some overspray is to be expected on the underbody close to the sill area. Painting the belly of the car would require a considerable amount of paint, and that is before the whole "how to apply it" gets into the equation. That ads CO$T$, and in mass produced cars that is a no no.

That spot makes for a very tight package, they must have placed some weight somewhere else on the car to compensate for those 25 Kgs sitting on the LHF. The X-bracing added to the under body looks like it was molded there, good stuff.
  14. Beautiful stance, absolutely love the slotted mags. Well done.

This is interesting, as I guess it lowers the car without the need to modify the spring's arch. I wonder if they did this to also get the tail shaft more aligned with the transmission, for less vibration. Also, that block will probably stiffen that area, so they maybe got less axle windup? The forum you have in your signature are 100% eye candy. WOW!
  16. You are right, went to Google and confirmed it.

This is a gorgeous build. Following along the Falcon one.
  18. Did the cammer engine come with the kit?
  19. Nicely done! w/T5 wheels. The twist beam axle on these is pretty slick and the kit has it well detailed. The front sub-frame is massive. Any engine pics? The turbo I-5 looks awesome under the bonnet and sounds great @ WOT.
  20. Love the packaging of this car. The rear cradle looks like GM grabbed a FWD one (A-Body maybe?) and slapped it back there
  21. Just like on a real car. Send it to the marriage station!
  22. Nice build. I find interesting how hard is for kit makers to properly reproduce GM's beautiful bullet mirrors. Best ones I've seen are the California Corvette.
  23. Nice build. Reminds me one that appeared in one of the Cannonball movies, driven by Frank Sinatra IIRC
  24. Nice build. Was going to ask you about which level of build the 1:1 car was but found it in the website.
