  1. I finished up my Mailbox chopper yesterday. I was on vacation this past week, so it was a great little project for that time frame. I wasn’t a fan of the multicolored box art paint job so I decided to go with Testors purplicious with white pinstripes and interior. These trikes are great to do in between bigger projects! The only problem area was the exhaust. Terrible fit, but it looks good. Stripped some chrome and resprayed with Molotow. 2 trikes down, 4 to go!
  2. That’s great! The yellow was a good choice! I’m working on my second Trike now, the Mailbox chopper. These things are too much fun. At the hobby shop yesterday for paint, they had the milk Trike and Tiki. No idea how I refrained from buying them lol!! Yours looks great ??
  3. Very cool! Reminds me of the Lemon Crate version I had as a kid ?
  4. Great looking truck, that color suits it well! Nice job ?
  5. Thanks guys! It is Tamiya TS-15 blue. A little darker than the lettering but it looks good ?
  6. Thank you, I hope so too! We need as many in the hobby as we can get ?
  7. Thanks! Yes it’s fun! In fact, after finishing a super stock dodge the other day, I decided to build the Mailbox chopper! I’ll have the whole collection of them someday ?
  8. Haahaa! Might take a couple of coats of clear at minimum ???
  9. Appreciate the kind words! Thx
  10. Thanks guys ?
  11. Thank you guys. He likes the way it turned out. It’s a good thing to help someone if you can. I helped my friend’s 10 year old son build AMTs Bigfoot truck a couple years ago, and since then he’s put together at least 25 models, and he’s now got a couple of his friends doing it. Worth it!!!!
  12. Thanks guys ?
  13. A friend whom I’ve known since we were kids said he was interested in getting back in the hobby. Hasn’t built anything since his early teens and asked if I’d help him with one. He picked up this kit and brought it over. I helped him out with it, and kept it simple. No airbrush, just Tamiya cans. No extras like plug wires just box stock to show him parts clean up and basic building. I did a small section of BMF and he did darn good with the rest! He’s impressed with all the modern tools and supplies we’ve got available these days. Hope he keeps on going! One error is the Dodge emblems...the front is on the back and vice versa oh well! Thx for looking ?
