  14. Thanks so much guys. Yeah Nacho, lately I’ve been picking up some kits I had in the late 70’s to mid 80’s, when my friends and I would sit at a huge table and listen to the radio and slap them together! Fun days ?

  16. Hi all! I’ve finished up this Monogram Street van this evening. This is another kit that I had as a kid and have wanted another for quite some time. I found this one at a toy flea market in March. It had been started, very poorly, by someone years ago. The interior, chassis, and engine were glue bombed together, and without paint. It was a mess but complete minus mirrors and the decals were perfect. So I bought it. Disassembling the pieces was difficult, and in some instances I used a razor saw. The windshield was glued in with tons of glue and was trashed. I had to make my own using .007 clear plastic, which turned out nicer than I thought it would lol. After getting everything repaired I started the paint and assembling process. The decals were given a coat of micro scale decal saver and they applied beautifully, thank goodness!! Black paint from Tamiya with Tamiya clear. Mirrors are ‘60s Mopar lol. When I was a kid I thought this version of the monogram Chevy van was the coolest, and it’s great to have it in the display cabinet!! Snake45, I hope you see it and approve of my glue bomb “rescue”. Thx for looking guys and comments always welcome ??
