Beautiful! The paint work looks great and I like the color choice! I've entered a handful of shows and didn't care if I won or not, just wanted to show my cars and enjoy everyone else's work, so go ahead and take it!
Glad you kept all your stuff from your childhood days, Snake! I gave all mine away after high school which was 30 years ago and a lot of them were cool old JoHan kits I built up, among other neat stuff.

I like to use it last. As was mentioned above sometimes clear can actually dull the shine. Also I will lightly sand the areas that it will be applied to during my wet sanding and polishing of the clearcoat, and it seems to help it adhere better. I've got models that are 10 or 15 years old and the bare metal foil is still on them firmly .
