  1. Panin! Ese color se parece un poco al Corvette Silver Blue del 1963 code 912. Chequea www.autocolorlibrary.com If nothing else at least you can see the paint chips online and get a close match from the same era. Saludos!
  2. Hello, I am not a "promo" collector, but more a 1/25 PACE CAR collector. It just happens that most pace cars are promos. If I have a choice I'd build a model and second choice a plastic promo, but I don't hesitate to pick up tampo printed diecasts if that is what it takes. While not exactly a "promo" in the strict definition of the term as per our hobby, this is the latest addition to my collection: Greenlight 2008 Indy Pace Car. Not bad for a "cheap" diecast in the $20 range. Click here for My collection of promos Fotki album Thanks,
  3. One of the reasons why I've been drifting away from the hobby recently....... nothing new out there for me in the last few years.... Among those I lost hope are: Current Corvette ZR1 Current GT2 C6R Corvette Sting Ray Racer Current Porsche 911 (any variation) ANY IRL cars (current resin offerings are sub-standard) Le Sabre concept car 1979 Toyota Corolla 2 door coupe Deluxe Solstice Saturn Sky Cadillac CTS-V Cadillac XLR Pontiac G6 coupe Vector W2 Vector W8 Vector WX3 Koenigsegg CCX McLaren F1 Ferrari 308 GTS Quatrovalvole (or any GOOD 308 GTS) ...and many more......
  4. Can't join but if I could, I would love to do a correct Magnum's Ferrari. (308 GTS) The Revell kit is way off and the Monogram is a GTB. Another choice would be either of the Miami Vice Ferraris. Yes, I know, they were kit cars but cool nonetheless. Would Steve Austin (6 million dollar man, cheap by today's standards ) be considered a detective? He drove a '75 silver Corvette Convertible in some episodes.... Nice idea, good luck to all! Thanks,
  5. Monty, Don't know if it helps but I wrote an alternative to the glass T-tops in MCM # 135 (October 2008).... Thanks,
  6. Mario, Get in touch with Gregg and/or Harry (harrypri) by PM. Thanks,
  7. Beautiful work! I love it.
  8. Please, [sobbing] Even curbside snap in brittle bright purple plastic will do. But PLEASE, make a ZR oneeeeeeee haaaauuu aaaaargh [sobbing] This will take forever....... Thanks,
  9. Nothing wrong with red Corvettes! Nice project. I will follow with interest. Thanks,
  10. Breaks my heart to hear last issue was not liked
  11. It looks GREAT! But I say model. There is something funny about the wiper. Not that I've been very good at this but anyways.......
  12. Does it come in Diet?
  13. The initial release of that kit made me hate AMT for the rest of my life. It was simply the worst molded kit I've ever seen, and I've seen quite plenty. I really hope they are now paying attention to quality control for the benefit of those still buying from them. I ended up building Revell's snap version and really enjoyed it. Thanks,
  14. Finally got my copy a few days ago and my model is on the cover! WOW! Thanks guys! It broke my heart to hear some saying it was not a GREAT issue.... I like it a lot, but then I'm biased Thanks,
  15. Hello, As some of you know, Photography is one of my primary hobbies as well. And of course I'm a car guy so...... A few months ago I talked to my good friends at Alberic Chevrolet and we agreed to do a photo-shoot of the very first 2010 Camaro SS to arrive. When the car arrived in mid-June they asked me to wait a few days to install the body kit and to properly detail it. We were supposed to go to a nice location nearby but I got a call an early Tuesday: "You better hurry, the car sold before reaching the showroom and will be picked up in a few hours." So there goes the plan for a nice location. I hurried there and took these while it was been prepared for delivery. The dealer is interested in some promo posters and I'm working on that. I hope you like the pictures. Here is a link to the Fotki album http://public.fotki.com/tatocorvette/2010-camaro-ss/ Thanks,
  16. I will be the last one to get it. I got April's on May 5 (all tored up), May/June on June 10 (tored up), so I'll get July's by mid August. Of course, all tored up. I already got my pristine August issue of Corvette Fever, over 2 weeks ago. So real Corvettes are faster than model corvettes
  17. Hi Chris, That would definitely do it! Thanks,
  18. Hello gang! Sorry for been away so long. I've been busy with work, family and other hobbies like photography. I haven't touch a model car since last October, or any model for that matter since January when I did an aircraft. I kinda "lost it". But I'm not rushing it. I know it'll be back (I hope ). Just wanted to say Hi! Regards,
  19. Gregg, Harry and MCM staff, Today, (May 5th 2009) I got my April's (tored) issue of the mag and my Camaro is on the cover! WOW I'm really honored! Thanks,
  20. Nice! What type of paint did you use? I wonder how those decals will work with correct velocity yellow or if it needs something else.... Thanks,
  21. Very nice! Both of them! Thanks,
  22. Looking good so far. The color is very nice. One of my dream cars from my teenager years. Since now you have a second kit for parts, Do you have any plans for the leftover parts? I need the windshield wipers to finish restoring one I built about 20 years ago. Thanks,
  23. Nice build. I was following it closely. Now I have to finish mine Thanks,
  24. Nice! Love the car AND the story
  25. My favorite car in my favorite color Nice job Billy....
